You mean Joshua is like Wilder without Wilders movement, speed, power and uncanny ability to set up the one punch knockout.

Joshua is just as fast and powerful - even if you're going to say Wilder edges him, Joshua doesn't lack at all in those depts. Has better movement (Wilder's off balance, bambi footwork doesn't really count as good movement in my eyes).

Honestly Wilder just lands the right hand, there's no complex set up, it just happens to be that when he lands it KO's people.

Of course you can take amateur experience into the equation. Top level amateurs are often prepped better for the pros. That's why Lomachenko was able to pick up ABC belts in three divisions in 12 fights, Usyk able to fully unify Cruiser and make a case for being the GOAT Cruiser in 15 fights, Inoue and two weight champion in 8 fights, Dogboe and Valdez in 20 fights have won titles, Beterbiev in 12, Bivol in 10.

Fighting at top level amateur/WSB is much better than 30 journeymen or cans a lot of guys run before stepping up. Your fighting the best in the world in competitive fights.

We saw what happened when Joshua was threw gatekeeper/fringe contenders like Martin, Johnson, Molina, they got ran through and were effectively pointless fights. Whyte traded for a few rounds and got blown out later, Klitschko near KOd Joshua and he learnt to pace himself better and how to compose himself when hurt. Takam was in spoiler mode from the offset and Joshua was able to break him down and not let himself be offset by someone who wasn't coming to fight (shortest stoppage ever but Takam was on the way out). Parker fight was **** tbh, that just balanced out where both were overly cautious and not willing to jump into a brawl. Povetkin will give Joshua other things to think about as well.

If Szpilka, first fight Stiverne had fought Joshua neither would have made it out of round II. Wilder was also outboxed by Washington who would be KOd in a round of Joshua. Wilder needed more seasoning because he has some of the worst technical abilities a world level boxer has ever had. He's just blessed with massive power, athletic ability and seems to have a lot of desire, hearts and trains well.

Joshua actually developed his boxing by fighting guys like Camarelle, Majidov, Dycho, Savon, Nistor, Pfeiffer, Zhang etc who are much higher levels than anyone Wilder fought before 2015.

Wilder moves faster than Joshua and is more unpredictable with his movement, Joshua is upright and moves in straight lines. And no, Wilder doesn't just land the right hand lol, he knows exactly what he's doing, he is methodical in his approach and he sets traps.

Of course there are also things Joshua does better than him but you said Joshua is like Wilder and in fact he isn't
    at all.

Joshua to my eye is fantastic and still developing. Wilder is as good as it gets and that might be good enough. Head to head the two are close enough career-wise that the sooner they fight the better.

Wilder is more athletic, reckless, creative, powerful, unpredictable, and wired to be less fazed.

Joshua is the better boxer, tactician, has more than enough power, and has highly underrated hand speed. He's better than Wilder in more ways than Wilder is better than him.

I still don't know who I would pick.

It looks like Joshua has regressed since the Wlad fight. I think when a fighter is terrified of getting stopped he can't fight at his best.

I think the Wlad fight took Joshua further and possibly onto better things on the horizon. Granted Wlad was not the Wlad of old but even in his forties Wlad is a force to reckoned with. That's a win that told us more about Joshua than Wlad. But it was a good win.
