I still like and rate DW, too easy to knock a man when he's down and out.

Whyte is probably by far and away the most mediocre fighter to be subject of so much discussions here.

Wilder's pretty mediocre too, and he gets far more discussion than Whyte

I appreciated that KO, it was gorgeous

Whyte played his role perfectly, looking like someone who took a hard punch and took a trip to dreamland

I would easily put Wilder ahead of Whyte, but that’s just me.

I still respect Whyte and hope he doesn't go the easy route following this loss. He's one of the few HWs who takes on the best available on a pretty consistent basis when he really doesn't have to, and generally provides some really exciting back and forth fights.

He's clearly hit his ceiling though, and won't ever be the man at HW, but respect to him as an all round fighter who doesn't sit on his ranking or hide out taking on the lowest hanging fruit.

Even though he's said and done things in the past which have irked me, I like Whyte and I think he's a good guy at heart. And he took his loss like a man and didn't make a billion excuses like that clown from Tuscaloosa who hid out in the chicken coop from Whyte for a thousand days cowering in fear in the darkest corner in a puddle of his own pee did.

    To quote my boy Roy

''He (Norman ''Stoney'' Stone) loves his fighter''

Maybe. But not by much. Wilder never really faced anyone that good before Fury completely and totally exposed him. You could argue that Whyte just got caught, although I think he's pretty mediocre too - a plodder, basically, and one without particularly good punch resistance. I do however think Wilder KOs him at this point.

Bottom line - outside of Joshua and Fury, this is a pretty mediocre HW division, as Wilder and Whyte being top contenders documents.

We have all been fans or are still fans of certain fighters, we back our fighters, support them, have arguments on their behalf and sometimes find ourselves defending the indefensible,

Why? Because we are boxing fans, huge fans of our favourite fighters and we are very loyal.

It's all part of being a boxing fan, celebrating the victories and the highs, truly suffering when our fighter is defeated, but that's the ride, those extreme highs and lows, that rollercoaster, and these dark moments make the victories even more sweeter.

A lot of you can point, laugh, give @Aydamn hammer for supporting his fighter and going out on a limb him on these boards but it comes to us all, nearly every fighter gets beat and if you're a true fan you will suffer the same at some point.

No shame in it, in fact I respect it, being a true fan is difficult and I've been there myself many times, for example I was and still am a huge Nigel Benn fan, that first Eubank fight, I just can't, still hurts a little bit, it is still a very hard watch for me LOL

It's not a good memory but luckily I have other memories of Nigel Benn that overshadow it.

Just remember, sure, OK, fine have fun and I know it's only banter and nothing personal but if you are a real boxing fan, have a favourite fighter who you truly support and you are a real fan then you will suffer the same fate at some stage,

So just remember that when you are sticking the boot in, although it's banter to you, it can be hard for the one on the receiving end.

Man I watched the interview with dillian and teddy. I was intrigued by his story: poor hungry tons of siblings hustling in the streets making money thru crime until he had a/his brother murdered. Child at 13 stabbed or shot a few times. Anyway since then he's made all the smart choices. He was given a second chance his boxing career with coach able attitude and low experience. How could you not root for the guy?

He took on all comers sharpning his skills all the time while being active even while being the mandatory for what? 5 years... he was still learning in the teddy interview as Ted told him to restrict his emotions to not let anything bad happen. I guess now he has a 3rd chance?

His comeback= everything I love to see in life, given more than one chance, doing right, getting back off the canvas. Big up to povetkin. The last time I had a chance to watch him I was a bus boy during the Eddie chambers fight. He deserves all the accolades!

Who else is waiting to hear that Eddie's slipped UKAD a fiver and Povetkin's post fight test comes back dirty?
