I'm not a hater of Khan, i tend to save my contempt for someone like Calzaghe. I like Khan's speed and i like his combinations, he's got no power so he has to make sure he always has good stamina, but how in the name of god has he got a WBA title shot at 140 ??
This needs to be investigated, he shouldnt even be ranked in the top 10 at 135 let alone at 140, but suddenly after a win against ***an and a washed up Barerra he gets a shot at the WBA 140 strap ??
If it was the WBO i wouldnt be surprised but i had some respect for the WBA. Basically Warren has looked at the dangerous gunslingers at lightweight and made a decision that Khan cant compete so hes taken him (ran) to 140 and cherrypicked an 'easy' title fight. We all know the Warren strategy with his fighters but i just cant understand why the WBA would sanction this kind of fight ..
The WBA and IBF have always been the most credible organisations, the WBO is a total joke and over the last 25 years the WBC has been involved in so many corrupt decisions that its devalued the organisation tremendously.
Fighters like Bradley, Torres, Holt, Campbell and Malignaggi would love to take on Kotelnik so how does Khan jump from 135 to 140 and get an immediate shot ?? Its a Mockery

Not sure i'd believe anything Bunce says, dont get me wrong, hes an entertaining guy who knows his stuff, but he's got way too many bizarre stories about his encounters with fighters and promoters. My personal favourite has to be when he said he, 'spent a weekend in Ghana with Azumah Nelson watching old fights and Azumah made him beans on toast while he relaxed by the swimming pool'.

    It is a joke.
Breidis Prescott starches Warren's cash cow, who then gets an easy confidence builder against ***an, a match up against a faded ex (smaller) superstar 'name,' then voila, he's in the frame for a tilt at the WBA strap.
Where the **** does all this leave Prescott?!

It leaves him fighting Edwin Valero for the WBC lightweight title. I think he'll be ok like.

Thats a superb point, every sport is corrupt on some level, but when its so obvious like this it makes you wish for some kind of independent body that makes sure that rankings in each division mean something ..
Whats the point in the WBA having a top 10 ranking at 140 when Khan (forgetting the undeserved hype) can jump into that division when hes proved nothing and get a title shot .. I could understand if Marquez went to 140 and immediately got a shot but Khan is an absolute nobody who got sparked out in 60 seconds a few months ago. It is blatant corruption, pay-offs and behind the scenes deals that has given Khan a shot. Totally undeserved, totally un-earned and for true boxing fans a total joke ..
So i want to see an independent boxing body that enforces that the Top 10 rankings in each division means something

Someone getting a title shot because they make the champion a good offer isn't 'corruption'. That's how boxing works. And that's it will continue working in the absence of a unified worldwide governing body because it's in the interests of boxers and promoters for that to be the case.

You want to outlaw voluntary title defences completely? Yeah, good luck with that.

    Wow......Really?!

At last, Valero's gonna step up to the plate and fight a 'live' opponent.....
