I totally agree with what the OP is saying. The 7 weight world champion thing should be taken with a pinch of salt...

^ But obviously its this resume that makes him a great fighter

The fail in this sentence is astounding. Lets start with the first Pac did agree to OSDT in the second round of negotiations after which Floyd went on vacation. 2 Pacquaio is considered #1 P4P fighter right now. And 3 Mayweather fought JMM at 144 9 LBs above what he has ever fought at and JMM looked like **** going into that fight not to mention he cheated on the scales and came in at 146 11 LBs higher then JMM has ever fought. And even with all that he still couldn't take JMM out. Oh and the other thing Mayweather hasn't been a pro boxer for fifteen years. So lets see I'm pretty sure that shows everything you typed was bull****. Oh and to add to it lets try your argument Pacs the who's who of boxing for the last 15 years that's why he dominated DLH who Mayweather only beat on paper. Or how about that's why he dominated Cotto who Mayweather was scared to fight. Again both still kind of bull**** but hold as much weight as your thing about JMM. Not to mention mine at least could be theoretically true since Pac has been pro for over 15 years now.

if the TS can't accept pac as a 7-weight champ, then he should then consider him as boxing's only 4-weight lineal champ as someone suggested here. surely, his lineal championships at flyweight, featherweight, junior lightweight and junior welter are a solid foundation of his legacy as an ATG.

What you fail to realize is that he also has more lineal titles in more weight classes than anyone in the history of boxing, which can only be achieved by beating the top guys. Regardless if he has more "paper belts" than anyone else, he also has more real ones.

He may not have cleaned out every division, but he's beaten incredible amounts of ass from flyweight to welterweight. How many fighters in boxing history can claim the dominance he has over that range of weights? He has quite a few lineal titles to boot. This era might not be the best and he has some holes in his resume along with a couple spotty fights with marquez and early losses, but seriously, what more could you ask from a modern fighter?

I will always consider him an ATG. You are right though the 4-weight lineal champs are an impressive feat. I still stand by my assertion that his legacy has been distorted and is misleading though.

I mentioned in a post that I think ODLH Mayweather and RJJ should also be criticised. The reason I picked on Pacquiao is because on top of picking up alphabet belts he used 1 catchweight and is about to use another. As well as the fact that he has alphabet belts over more weight classes than anyone else.

Name me another fighter in history who fought four successive fights in four different divisions?..

Against Margo he will be fighting in his 5th division in the span of 7 fights.. And it's not like he's cherry picking easy opponents..

He's fought Mayweather's best opponents and smashed them in easier fashion (DLH, Hatton), and the guys Mayweather ducked (Cotto, Margarito). Also Clottey who's a solid contender and Marquez and Diaz below 135. And Mayweather would be on that list too if he wasn't such a chicken ****.

If you can't respect what Pac has done as a little guy coming from 130 then **** off and follow another sport you wanker

I am talking about Marg's weight advantage in their upcoming fight, which is the fact that he is more comfortable at the higher weight than Pac. At most, Pac will only weigh 149-150 on fight night while you can be sure that Margarito will come in as heavy as a middleweight.

At 147, Marg's weight advantage would have been nullified somewhat.
