While de mori seems like a nice bloke, why stuff around why there are still so many fights in Australia to get?
Lepai would be a great start, then if he got a win he could go after meehan.
I must be missing something, but that sounds like a reasonably standard and possible plan

I reckon all of us Aussie see merit in this idea....now try convincing Don King.

Most posters here have a reasonable grasp on who pulls the strings in a boxers career. It is no different in DeMoris case, his promoter is Don King.

A couple of years ago, reported nationally on a sports channel (Fox or Sports Tonight..maybe both)

Why not, young and smashing all before you, the biggest most recognizable promoter in the world puts a contract in front of you...

Sure, but like many are saying, it seems many fighters just go stale with King.

Don kings contracts say the fighter must fight a number of times a year ! how many has he had this year and flex start with Leapai ! your joking he wont start with any of top 10 of Australia ! stop impersonating a heavyweight fighter .

Look these things take time mate it all depends on what route King is planning to get Mark into the ratings , He could go rapid route one and hail Mary him v a top rated bloke and get him Ktfo i'n the process or he can / is by the look of it taking a careful build approach , all the kid can do I'd stay shape and keep learning his trade , Alex would be a decent fight but ask yourself this question , " would team Leapia be that fussed fighting Mark after they had worked so hard getting their bloke ranked @ 14 by a different org ? Where would be the gain i'n that ?

No I think King is a shrewd enough operator to realise Marks level of ability and what financial returns he can expect on his investment , I see Mark D possibly fighting for a title i'n Germany future down the road that i'n itself will more than cover the dough King had coughed up .
