Theunderdog is not a *******. You are a good poster, and not the usual ******* who overrates PAc to no end.
UliUli and Theunderdog, Chin...you guys are top of the line posters, and Puga at times shows this also. This was a sane argument, and not the usual arguments from *******s like Babality, and others who degenerate arguments concerning Pac.
About Cottos weight this is hilarious Cotto "When I was 11 years old, [/B]my weight was 156 pounds[/B], and I tried to lose weight with boxing. My brothers were already boxing and I tried to do the same. I started at the Gym Bairoa in Caguas. I lost weight, but I started to feel something for boxing. In the beginning, it was just for game, but then I start to feel like, a love for boxing.
you called me a *******, you hurt my feelings good talking to you mate. we should do this often. keeps my mind sharp
And that is exactly what everyone including Roach was saying when he first came to the states. That he was one "Demensional" and even worse than fighting ameturely.....that he just didn't have the skill sets to allow him to be a force in a market like the US or UK boxing. PAC never had a AM background, so calling him green again...would not be the right word. He was a clean slate with an upside with potential and a lot of talent. His boxing fundementals were not even solid when he made his way to the US.
Pac fights the same way he did since the Hussein fight. Pac has gotten into terrific shape, worked on his defense, got a full time trainer who adds stability to his corner, and developed a right hook... This is how many top fighters develop over time. Roach didn't just go out and pick just any fighter. Pac always had it in him. He needed stability. Roach isn't the only trainer who could've developed Pac.
:huh I don't know where you see any similarities from PAC who faught Hussein to the PAC who faught DLH and Ricky. It's been a 180 in terms of style, polishness, and dynamics. He's always been fast and explosive but he's throwing combos with every punch in the book, hooks, uppercuts, overhand lefts, the jab. And he's using his left and right. Before he was a one trick pony who got by on his natrual gifts of speed, reflexes and power. He's a "Boxer" now...not a slugger with a dangerous left hand. I think PAC always had this in him as well....he just didn't have the resources, foundation or direction to help him evolve given he was in the Phillipines. The bond and chemistry between Roach and PAC has helped PAC become what he is today. Roach is a very good, if not great trainer and there is no doubt the relationship and trust they have for one anther has definitley helped, which is why I agree that I don't think anyone else could have gotten this much out of PAC. And a sign of a good trainer is having a good eye for talent.....I just would've never guessed he'd see the "talent" in PAC after watching some of his earlier fights.
