Excessive partying, drinking and run ins with the law. Victor Jr seems to be following the footsteps of his alcoholic father Victor Sr. Victor has posted on facebook and twitter his latest escapades stating, "Wow, what a party I am still hungover." Which lends to the credence of the rumor that he spent more time partying then training for his less than one round fight with Collazo Victor was out on the town drinking heavily in his hometown Garden City, Kansas, July 4, 2014. His Friday night ended at Jax Sports Bar where Victor allegedly made some really off color comments about children with Down's syndrome. When asked to tone it down by the bar owner, Victor refused and continued to make degrading comments. The reason being that Victor knew that one of the female bartenders has a Down's syndrome child. Victor finally either left or was escorted out of the bar. This incedent along with many others like it in the past has sent shock waves of resentment and anger through out his hometown. Do not be surprised to see this hit the national spot light. Victor Ortiz's hidden story and tangle web of lies is about to be brought to light.
I used to be a huge fan of Victor Ortiz. I forgave him after his performance against Berto and understood completely his loss against Josesito Lopez which kept him out for a LONG time because of the brutality of the jaw break. But after what I saw against Collazo as well as how much of a lame moron he was in Dancing with the Stars (feeling sorry for his dance partner who was only like 18/19 yet was being like his mother or something)...I can't support him anymore. Victor better hope he gets a job in media or something because his boxing career looks pretty dead to me.
TMZ ****. Though I can understand them being so angry about Downsyndrome comments with that being the town Rios is from
Ortiz has major self esteem issues. both his parents abandoned him when he was old enough to realize what was going on. He was called a fat loser by them all the time. Pretty clear he hasnt gotten over it. His smile is a huge phony mask.
Pre Maidana I was a big fan and hyping this kid up a lot. After the fight it took a little time, but I thought he was on his way back to the top. Floyd fight came and proved that he's not mentally tough, even though he got sucked punched. And we all know how his fights after that went down
Shame. He's actually really physically gifted and talented. Strong. Athletic. Could have been a great fighter if he had put it all together.
The entire parent abandonment story was a lie. His mother left because Victor's father was beating her. When she tried to take her boys with her the father threatened to kill her. Victor's mom never left town in fact she is remarried and still lives there. Victor's Mom went on boxing trips with Victor and the rest of the team right up until Victor moved away to live with his sister in Denver. Victor was 13 the last time his mother made a boxing trip with him. There are newspaper clippings and photos with Victor and his Mom together right up an until he left. Victor was in foster care for only a few months not years. Victor left town because he was constantly in trouble in school and on the streets.
