Bob Arum sends a few emails through Greenburg and puts a clock on his website and the *******s act like that is negotiation.

You have an amazing talent for defense.

Several parties were involved : Arum, GBP, HBO and Al Haymon, who actually does the negotiations for Mayweather. I guess they e-mailed each other. And since they did not actually talk to each other like verbally, in person, then the negotiation is faux, fake.

We all know that in order to negotiate, you need to talk in person.

Which again begs the question : what does Ellerbe actually do? Al does the business side of things, Jeff is the trainer, GBP the promotions, Ellerbe is the MOTHER OF ALL *****S?

I understand the frustration, and the use of hyperbole, but no one is silly enough to believe that any two boxers can kill the sport. Everytime I see one of these "boxing is dead," or "boxing is dying" threads I think back to March 1966 when the first Ali/Chuvalo fight killed the sport. Now here we are, four and a half decades later, and in many ways boxing is better than it has ever been.

First of all neither Haye or mayweather or any other boxer is bigger than the sport of boxing. To agree with this premise you have to agree that both mayweather and haye are carrying the sport which is not true. Every boxer have his time in the limelight and then when he leaves somebody else will take that spot. So Haye and mayweather can fight whoever they choose and the sport of boxing will still be where it is now. Boxing is not dying and is going away anytime soon. The problem is people dont understand we're at different times with internet and 200 different channels on cable that people have a lot of options. Still having said all that top boxers make millions and top cards sell pretty good and a lot better than MMA or any other combat sport.

Boxing is dying out...face it guys!!
Too much business in the sport!
Prima-donnas and fat cats spoiling the specticle.
    It's not a sport anymore.
We need a mandatory supersix in every weight class! Simples.
