No, there's a frustrating lack of facts.

The "he has got AIDS!" camp point to the lack of a recent NYSAC test and the word of Morrison's former lawyer (which could be a case of sour grapes).

The "he hasn't got AIDS!" camp point to the tests Morrison has passed, even though they weren't by the NYSAC and Tommy still isn't officially cleared to fight in the US.

It's all still pretty murky. Unless Tommy is passed clean to fight in the US, it won't clear up.

Sorry to split hairs but he's HIV positive, he doesn't have AIDS yet.

Look sorry to be like this but he is ****ing HIV positive okay? We're in the year 2008, it is easy to determine someones status these days. A piece of cake. If he had been given a false positve back then he could easily have two tests now that would clear all this up. A PCR/DNA that tests for the actual virus & a western blot to confirm.

It's no good him talking about his T-Cell count as we all know that the anti-bodies can drop to undetectable levels with treatment hence the need to test for the virus itself. Tommy Morrison is trying to pick up a bit of money where he can & openly admitting he is positive would hinder this. Don't get sucked into the hype though.

Sorry yeah, you're quite right...I was getting the two mixed up.

You can be HIV positive without having AIDS. Having HIV makes you susceptible to quite a variety of illnesses, buggers up your immune system.

How about looking at this from the other side - if you don't have definitive test results , then just look to see how much he is spending on anti-retro viral drugs to keep the infection in check. I'm sure Magic Johnson uses a lot of those drugs as well as all HIV + people that can afford it.

Or, see if he is having unprotected sex with his wife for the last 5 years and get her checked. Gotta be detectives!

What if he inadvertently infects someone else who doesn't have a name & cant afford expensive lawyers to fudge test results causing them to need expensive anti-retroviral drugs?

Right. It would be easy enough to test again, and verify that he's not got HIV.

If Tommy honestly thinks he's not got HIV, and he thinks he's safe to fight, why not test in whatever capacity that they ask, and put everyone's mind at ease, and be done with it? If he would do that, then he can fully focus on his comeback with no worries.

But the fact that they can't seem to get him to adhere to the required testing is rather telling, in my opinon.
