If a half ass Fury and his slap jab could out point Wilder and make him look Amatuer., you could only imagine what the best jab in heavyweight history would do. I would say Wilder would hit the canvas before Holmes did. And to be honest, this is a mismatch here in boxing ability

Witherspoon was kind of sloppy. I think Wilder would catch him. Witherspoon's right hand was a big deal when he could keep things in range. I think Wilder would be fighting him at a distance.

Wilder can't fight, at least not at the level of LHolmes. Wilder is a worse version of Shavers(Shavers did have the skill level to hide his chin behind his left shoulder win, jabbing, not only does Wilder drops his SLOW jab after he uses it, his chin is ALWAYS above his shoulders, slipping and countering he probably couldn't spell much less do) Wilder hits hard with the right hand . He is an awesome right hand puncher against today's very limited heavyweights in today's game. But Holmes would beat him damn near to death.

Besides the rt hand Wilder has next to zero boxing skills. We still havent seen that rt hand land on a world class chin either.
I'm in agreement with the others that say Larry beats the #### out of him. He would have been a decent sparring partner for Holmes back in Larry's prime. Yes prime Spoon also catches him with that overhand rt behind the jab.

Actually we've seen it against a less than world class chin in Duhaupas. Which Wilder failed to drop, or even really hurt.

Imo his power's credentials are massively overrated.

    Mismatch.

Wilder could not win a single round, without scoring a knockdown!

He couldn't put Holmes away, and he sure as hell couldn't get anywhere on the score cards!

Between this and Marciano I’m just at a loss for words. Stop putting this guy against ATGs especially the likes of Holmes and Marciano he’d get killed.

I would pick Holmes 8 times out of 10... BUT...

As Deontay says himself, "I don't have to win rounds. I only have to win 2 seconds."

    What does ATG mean?

When Marciano was plying his trade, Dempsey was complaining about how far the division had fallen and how it's champ wouldn't have lasted in his day.

I'm old enough to remember Holmes' career in full. He was constantly derided as not living up to snuff in regards to former champs.

To borrow from one of my favorite movies... ATG is the figment of some lame ****'s imagination. It's almost always awarded while looking in the rear view mirror by guys whose glory days had not only long passed them by but weren't that impressive. It's the classic rosy hued glasses of nostalgia. There's a reason that slow, midgets with no balance don't fight for the heavy title any longer.

Stands for all time great and not everyone of the past is an ATG. ATG is a status earned by few. I don’t personally care about your bad taste in movies with poor writing. Dempsey also stated Marciano was better then him. Marciano was 5”10 not quite midget status. Get off your obsession with him. We all know why you dislike him.

Prime 1980 Larry Holmes defeats Deontay Wilder by unanimous decision. Larry is not going to get star struck and tell Wilder, You Can Hit Me On The Jaw, I Will Let You. Holmes will use good lateral movement while firing that stiff left jab into the face of Deontay, while Wilder misses time and time again. The Larry will set up quick combinations, and fire his crisp eight hand while using head movement. Wilder's fits will only cause him to fall further behind in this match, and he begins to swing for the fences. Larry is too cagey for this tactic, as he has met several heavy hitters in his career. Wilder gets educated in this match as Holmes is not Ortiz. Larry is full aware of Deontay's power during this bout.
