I've noticed a few of Eddie's methods when it comes to match-making; as far I can see these are the most obvious.

    1) Take a painfully mediocre fighter, e.g. Brian Rose, bring him just about outside of domestic level, before working him slowly up the rankings via silver and international titles against a bunch of utter nobodies before hopefully securing a very winnable final eliminator. Now they have that slot, despite facing nobody of note, throw them in and hope for the best.

    2) Take a genuinely world class fighter and get him a title (e.g. Brook, which he'd have won with or without him). Do not bring over a single top 10 ranking opponent, feed him a succession of pointless fights, all the while making out he's a PPV fighter.

    3) Take fighters who are well-backed in their local area (e.g. Bellew) and get them to fringe-world level, they'll lose, but luckily for Eddie you no longer need to make them fight anyone with a pulse as you'll be able to get them voluntary shots as they bring money to the table.

    4) Take potential world champions, (e.g. Joshua, Smith). Claim them ready to take on the world, all the while making them fight nobodies before you eventually force them to make a huge leap in class because you are too ****ing cheap to bring over the right quality top 10/15 opponents.

That sums up what we're seeing pretty well.

He's got the Sky hype machine behind him too so the wool can be pulled over the casual boxing fans pretty easily.

    Agreed.

Eddie CANNOT make a non-domestic world class fight to save his life!

    GG/Froch
    Khan/Brook
    Quigg/Frampton

The man LIVES for domestic rivalries.

Pretty much spot on with all points. Eddie can't deliver huge names not already signed to him, hence PPV fees for rubbish like Bellew vs Cleverly and Brook beating up a guy like Frankie Gavin.

George Groves, Carl Frampton and Amir Khan. Three guys who have nothing in common other than flicking two fingers to 'Fast Car'.

Would not put is past fast car to make a Bellew v Clev Trilogy Fight on PPV supporting a weak Brook defence or AJ v Whyte. :patsch

You've only got to go and look at the odds before any Matchroom card and you will see...

    1-200
    1-50
    1-100
    1-100
    1-200

And then I switch Sky Sports on and they are telling me I'm watching an evening of "really competitive fights".

I can understand there being mismatches at the start of the card because they're usually up-and-comers but the main 3-4 fights have to be decent competitive match ups, none of this 1/100 bull****.

He's still active and could put Eddie and Sky to shame, but he doesn't.

His cards are even worse. Somehow.
