Sky and Match room don't care about hardcore boxing fans. Just casuals. Moaning isn't gong to change anything

As Boxing Scene.com previously reported, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has almost given up on getting the WBA title fight between champion Scott Quigg of Britrain and five division world champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire done this year unless they can stage it in Dubai.

Arum disclosed he’s been talking to ABS-CBN sports consultant Peter Musgni about the possibility of working with the giant broadcast network and The Filipino Channel – TFC – to salvage the title fight.

The Top Rank promoter told the New Standard/*********** that promoter Eddie Hearn had informed him that “they are not going to be able to do the Quigg fight this year because he has another heavyweight fight that’s going to be on pay per view that’s more important, so he’s offered it for next year unless I can get this going in Dubai.”

He said “that’s what we are trying to see whether we can do it in Dubai or we have to look for an opponent who is not going to be as expensive as Quigg” but that right now he has nobody in mind.
