With the likes of JMM, Pac, Casa all retiring soon Valero's got a great chance of becoming one of the top players.

They would not be any obstacle to him becoming one of the best in the world. Either they retire without fighting him, or he puts them into retirement. He's going to have to jump different weight divisions because no one is going to be eager to get in the ring with him.:rasta

what's your take on guzman vs valero? it'll be a hard fight for edwin imo. guzman is very slick. he's also has fast hands and a good counter puncher. valero will have a hard time landing his bombs (pac will also have this problem imo if he faces guzman).

It is an interesting clash of styles. I don't know if Guzman can hold him off because he does not have a lot of power against good fighters. Even if Valero only lands 1 out of every 5 punches it's will wear on Guzman. Guzman would have to do what he does best and that is run. Guzman's big problem might occur when he goes to the ropes and slips punches. He may get caught badly when he does that. His style would be the most difficult for Valero or Pac but he's beatable. I would like to see the fight happen.

I bet I did. I've been one of the few here on the bandwagon early. If you were not a clueless imbecile you would know this.

Taking everything you said into consideration, David Diaz, Juan Diaz and Katsidis are better than anyone that Valero has fought so far. A fight against any of them is a good test to determine if Valero could already fight at elite level. A dominating win, rather than a quick KO over any of them will be a good indication but of course it doesn't follow that that he would also win over JMM or Pac. IMHO, JMM or Pac will derail the Valero terror train. But don't worry Jeff, I'll ride that train as promised.

He could use Hyena Barrios for a tune up..lol..just because of the way Barrios talked about Valero.. Edwin would probably like to KO him after that!

After the ledwaba fight, pac went directly to the most dangerous fight and that was Barrera and we all know what happened....I think valero could do the same and take on JMM.......and I really think he could possibly win, its just who can take his opponents punch better...
