French boxer Michel Soro will fight with American John Vera for the title of "temporary" WBA world middleweight champion.

The fight will take place in the evening of boxing in Marseille on March 24. This was reported by the Boxing Federation of France. The winner will become an obligatory challenger for the WBA (Super) world champion Erislandi Lara.

Earlier, the WBA issued a resolution according to which the Kazakh Kanat Islam was to compete with Vera for this duel, however, the sides didn't negotiate at all.

Egis Klimas, the best manager of the influential The Ring magazine in 2017, signed a contract with the first middleweight boxer Kanat Islam (25-0, 20KO) from Kazakhstan.

Kanat Islam is a native of China, amateur boxing star: bronze medalist of the 2008 Olympic Games (Beijing, China) and bronze medalist of the 2007 World Cup (Chicago, USA). Since 2011, he has been boxing under the flag of Kazakhstan. Was the captain of the Kazakhstan team "Astana Arlans", serving in the WSB series.

Kazakhstani boxer Kanat Islam met with head of the promotional company Top Rank, Bob Arum, and announced cooperation.

QAZAQ promotions at a meeting with Bob Arum agreed on cooperation and holding joint boxing shows.
