I think he really screwed himself with this diet in my opinion. My dad is really into all the diet research and veganism seems to be a bit ropey healthwise. We will never know but would steak and eggs have helped his body to repair because they're already made of the same stuff as he is.

Think you May have a point..

But I think it's more to do with trying to flog a dead horse

Specimens like Haye reliant on power have a very small peak. His ended 6 years ago.

I think his body was broken down anyway but the diet wouldn't have been too beneficial for him due to the lack of protein imo.

    pescatarian diet>vegetarian/vegan.

Vegan diet is for mental blue haired feminist women covered in tattoos who don't want children.

From what I hear he’s not as much as a vegan as he makes out...

    I've often wondered about this.

When did he become a vegan? I'm wondering whether he switched because of the injuries i.e. to try something different, and see if it works better for him.

Because it seems quite a drastic thing for a professional sportsman, especially a boxer, to take on. I mean you wouldn't risk it unless you already had problems, you would think. I could be wrong, but he doesn't strike me as the socially conscious type.

I hear plant based diets are getting more popular with body builders and stuff though. Was thinking about giving it a go myself actually.

Scissors is correct. You’re not really a vegan when you’re munching three whole chickens at a time.

I believe Timothy Bradley would go vegan when preparing for a fight. Didn't seem to do him any harm! I saw an interview were he was gushing over how great it is being vegan and how much better he feels on the diet.

With the correct supplementation it is probably better. Breaking down meats in the stomach is not efficient.

Always thought the veganism was a cover for drug use...but could be totally wrong about that. As in Bradley used to turn up jacked everytime...when questions we,re ever asked it was down to the vaganism. People are pretty ignorant about it...they just think bloody hell you must get jacked off the veganism then...and leave it at that. Same with haye.

But could be wrong with the guy above saying bodybuilders are now moving towards a vegan diet etc. Maybe there is science behind it.

Not sure it was Hayes downfall tho...hes always been injury prone. As the other guy above says think it might have been a well this might be worth a try cause what I m doings not fixing the problem.

There's a lot of ignorance still.
    People confuse Veganism with Bisexuality.
    Haye isn't Vegan.

If David Haye is vegan then Augustus Gloop suffers from a mild case of anorexia.

It's insane the amount of hate vegans get. The hate far outweighs any annoyance they bring. Hate for not wanting to consume slaughtered animals - what a world. I wish I had the willpower to be a vegan, all respect to them.
