Canelo definitely used to fight in spurts and have stamina problems. Boxing trainer James Gogue spent 10 days in his camp before the Floyd fight and said he was shocked by his work ethic and how lazy he was.

I think Canelo must be pushing himself harder in training now though.

Canelo had a good reason to get the Cotto fight done first before facing GGG. He knew it'll be risky.

Canelo is only a moderate hitter. He couldn't put away a completely shot shane mosley, couldn't so much as stagger Cotto (ever good puncher cotto fights has hurt him), and fought a punching back in JCC and couldn't get him out of there.

That's funny. I thought you were going to tell us about how Meldrick Taylor used his boxing ability to keep Chavez Sr. off of him for two fights. Or how Paulie used his boxing ability to keep Hatton, Porter and Danny Garcia off of him.

Some former opponents of GGG and Canelo speak about their experiences sharing a ring with them and who they think is going to win.

I think his counters are enough to keep you honest, but he won't put Golovkin in a lot of danger. Hopefully he has enough power to back Golovkin off of him, but even if he does he will have to do that all night and if his stamina depletes this fight is over.

I think Canelo is going to get kod as i like GGG to win this fight. I dont think Canelo has the punch that GGG has and may not be that big a puncher at MW. That being said i dont think its in GGGs or anyones best interests to take too many big shots from Canelo because he can and will hurt you. GGG isnt going to be brushing off clean shots on his chin for long if Canelo is constantly connecting. GGG has a great chin but to think canelo cant hurt is absurd. Just look at what the light punching Ward did with a clean right on Kovs iron chin. Ward absolutely battered his body and then knocked his head off in dominating and spectacular fashion.

He does not need to KO GGG just hang around and be somewhat competitive and he is getting a decision.

Canelos highlight reel is filled with welterweights and guys that had zero chance like kirkland. Guy could not put a dent in a 150 year old cotto, sugar shane.

Both khan and Kirkland had been whacked by much lesser fighter and puncher than canelo

Canelo is the guy that fought the Cheeseburger Junior version of Chavez, little Liam Smith and even littler glass-chin Khan in his last three fights. Kell Brook would probably have done as well; Jacobs would have cleaned that lot up in one night and I'm not even kidding.

I was disappointed as well when Brook's corner didn't allow GGG to beat their man into a coma. What were they thinking? We want BLOOD!!!!
