The Elite 4 Super Heavyweights: Prime H2H

They are giants of the ring, usually possessing reach advantages, outweighing and towering above their opponents.
This topic is about how they fair in Prime H2H match-ups with great smaller opponents and amongst themselves.

The 4 big men in question:

    1. Lennox Lewis
    2. Riddick Bowe
    3. Vitali Klitschko
    4. Wladimir Klitschko

How do they perform against the following:

    Evander Holyfield
    George Foreman
    Jack Dempsey
    Joe Frazier
    Joe Louis
    Larry Holmes
    Mike Tyson
    Muhammad Ali
    Rocky Marciano
    Sonny Liston
    The other 3?

I don't expect everybody will want to do the predicted outcomes list for all 4, and it would be better if you filled it in for one than none.

Sorry Boxed Ears, but I wanted to keep things fair, Max Kellerman told me that Valuev is just too big and even a mismatch for Ali.

It would be unfair to include him like comparing kittens to a tiger. He is just too good.

    :rofl:rofl

Lennox Lewis would be 7-3 (Loses to Ali, Tyson, Holmes) - (Beats all the other 3 Super heavyweights)
Riddick Bowe would be 6-4 (Loses to Ali, Tyson, Holmes, Liston) - (Loses to Lewis, beats Vitali and Wlad)
Doing Klitschko brothers later, need more time to think.

First off I will start with Lewis.

Evander Holyfield- Lewis stands on the back foot works the jab, big upper cuts in the clinches and the occasional big right. Lewis may put him down late on if he is aggressive and if not takes close points win maybe 7-5 give or take a round either way its a war.

George Foreman- Foreman tries to slug and brawl for 12 rounds. Lewis lands some big shots but nothing to finish Foreman off. Foreman may rock him in the mid rounds but I think Lewis hold in and Manny hits him so hard in the corner he has no option but to defend and take the fight on points.

Jack Dempsey- KO in 10-12. Dempsey comes forwards whilst Lewis jabs , jabs and more jabs throwing a big right every so often. When ever Dempsey gets close to landing a big shot Lewis clinches and wrestles him, he goes down late on when Lewis gets a great over hand right.

Joe Frazier- Frazier swarms and swarms Lewis back foots it for the fist few rounds but struggles to keep Frazier off so clinches holds and turns it into a battle of body strength. Gets a nice uppercut in a clinch in 8-12 when Lewis is tired and Frazier goes down. Probably gets back up but from here on Lewis lands big. Could be a close decision to Lewis or Lewis KOs him late.

Joe Louis- Comes forwards but gets hit with bombs early on. I think he goes down a few times before staying down but I see it first 6 rounds KO maybe 8 if Lewis comes forwards more.

Larry Holmes- Holmes out boxes him, makes him look clumsy whilst Lewis looks to land some right hands. After a few rounds of this Lewis roughs it up and clinches more, uppercuting in the holds and being dirty. Could go either way but i see it being a decision and it would depend on how early Lewis realised he could not try and box Holmes. I would say the score cards would be close but 60% of the time it is in favour of Lewis.

Mike Tyson- A lot like the Frazier fight but Tyson is faster and will pick his punches much more. First 2 rounds he is all over Lewis but then Lewis frustrates him by clinching, holding head punches, leaving his left out in Tysons face. I think Lewis gets a points win or a late KO.

Muhammad Ali- Similar to the Holmes fight. Ali is jabbing , "dancing and dancing" and making Lewis look clumsy. Lewis does land some big shots. It goes 12 rounds and Ali wins a SD or a close UD. Not impossible for Lewis to win i just favour Ali in this one...Maybe.

Rocky Marciano- Early TKO, his face is crimson and Lewis just keeps landing big shots. I think this fight is a no brainer.

Sonny Liston- Listons long reach and great body punching makes Lewis struggle in the first but then a little like the Grant fight he hits hard. Lewis is poor at protecting his body and it gasses very quickly. I think he throws big shots upstairs and Liston can not take them for long. Early KO as Lewis goes wild on Liston.

    2. Wladamir Klitschko
    3. Riddick Bowe
    4. Primo Carnera

Evander Holyfield - Lennox beats him, Bowe did but not in the rematch, Both Klits are 50-50 imo

George Foreman - He has a punchers chance against all 4, especially Wlad but Vitalis hand down defense will also give Foreman opportunities, Bowes defense is very open and he likes to brawl, all 4 are capable of outboxing him, tricky picks

Jack Dempsey - all 4 beat the stuffing out of the little man

Joe Frazier - all 4 beat the stuffing out of the little man, except maybe Wlad who is in danger of being stopped, Fraziers high pressure style may work against Vitali like it did against Ali

Joe Louis - I think all 4 can beat him, Louis stands a good chance against Wlad because of his chin and against Bowe because of his suscptability to being hit and fighting inside. Lewis/Vitali should outbox Louis from range though

    Larry Holmes - outboxes Vitali/Wlad/Bowe, Lennox is a 50-50

Mike Tyson - Tyson could beat all 4. Wlad stands no chance, Vitalis hands down defense doesn't bode so well against Tyson's fast combiantion attacks, Bowe is defensively weak, Lewis-Tyson is a 50-50

Muhammad Ali - Ali outboxes Vitali/Wlad/Bowe, Lennox is a 50-50

Rocky Marciano - all 4 beat the stuffing out of the little man

Sonny Liston - all 4 can outbox him due to his lack of speed
