Derry, best of luck mate and thank you very much for having took the time to regulary come on here and indulge us fans and also for having taken the time to let us know your decision at what is probably a hard time for yourself. Best of luck in the future in whatever you do (Any Ideas ?)

Sad to hear, but probably the best decision, Derry. You've always come across as a genuinely nice bloke on here and at least you can hold your head up high and say you took the best challenges on that were available to you. It's probably no consolation, but on the domestic scene you have given us some thrilling fights as well. Best of luck in what you do, mate. All the best:good.
Keep posting pal. And hopefully you can build yourself a career in training and coaching, you've got a lot of experience to pass on, can't buy that If you feel the fire is going out, it's best to stop with your health intact

All the best fella You can hold your head up high and say you have achieved in boxing what many many people could only dream of, and you newver backed any challengers and always took hard fights. All the best with the future
