33 year-old Manny Pacquiao, a future-Hall of Famer, met with fellow 39 year old future-Hall of Famer Juan Manuel Marquez in their fourth fight. Their prior trilogy one of the greatest rivalries boxing had seen, rivaling that of Ali-Fraizer; three fights; so close and so evenly matched one could score it as a land slide victory for Pacquio or a land slide victory for Marquez. Or a draw.

Settling the score, in what is -and should be- the final and fourth fight between the two great fighters Pacquiao came out strong, Marquez was able to finally knockdown his rival Pacquiao, then Pacquiao knocks Marqez, then they go toe-to-toe, both hurt and still fighting.

It was the fight to end it all; Then the same over right hand that has always troubled Marquez came. As Pacquiao was pinning Marquez, as the Sixth Round ended, Manny Pacquiao was knocked out-cold by his rival.

It was arguably the greatest fight of the rivalry which is the greatest rivalry of the era.

    An era that passes now.

Juan Manuel Marquez nears the dreaded 40, and Manny Pacquiao's body burdned by the various wars he has taken place in.

Floyd Mayweather, the most skillful fighter of the era fought with fellow era-great Miguel Cotto in a tough-grueling fight which he won, and later Cotto would lose in a competetive yet somewhat one-sided fight with young Austin Trout.

Veteran Paul Williams suffered a fatal accident before his fight with young and rising star Canelo Alvarez.

The great and faded Erik Morales was knocked-down by rising young American Star Danny Garcia.

Adrien Broner, following a similair path to the All-Time-Great Floyd Mayweather continues to rise up the ranks.

Sergio Martinez prevailed against the upstar Chavez Jr, yet is at Father Time's mercy.

Young Nonito Donaire defeated old Nishioka.

    The changing of the guard.

Already on the top of many Pound-for-Pound list, Andre Ward dominates the high levels of the Middle Weight, his movement unmatched.

The large Canelo Alvarez is slowly being built up, as he looks for a fight with the likes of Floyd Mayweather.

Austin Trout defeated the Puerto Rican Legend Miguel Cotto in a battle of boxing.

Nonito Donaire continues to rise, on the edge of being considered an all-time-great as he dominates the division.
Danny Garcia and Adrien Broner continue to move through their opponents.

Floyd 'Money' Mayweather is no different from other fighter as Father Time slowly crawls up his skin.

Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez finally settle the old rivalry, in what could be their last major fight.

The Changing of the Guard; the generation passes; and a new one arrives.
