Haye is finished in boxing mentally and physically. The increased weight and party lifestyle shows he doesn't have the desire anymore.

Doesn't this show what an exceptional specimen WK is? 41 next.. 20 years active. No gaps until late but not of his own doing.. Then you got these fragile catwalk hardly fights Haye types who fade like an abrupt fart into the ether.

Haye's intense training methods throughout the years, were the cause of his injuries. All that speed and power definitely came at a price, for a blown up heavyweight. I heard Adam Booth was giving him punishment beatings, when he didn't show 100 percent in training. No wonder he ran for the hills.

His body can't handle training and he has to be close to 17 stones to compete against Joshua, Wilder and the rest, his body can't cope with extra weight. If he could get through training and came in lighter around 16 stones, he always has a punchers chance. Would need at least 3/4 good warm up fights. It's just not going to happen. He should be done.

This was it. His last chance. He'll be in his late thirties by the time he heals up, and even heavier, slower and ring rusty than he was here. By that time all the current top fighters in the division will be in their physical primes. Haye will be nothing but a sad joke.

His body is failing him. Probably has enough to beat Bellew in a rematch, but other than that he's finished as a HW contender.

I hope so, he's got more respect losing to Bellew than when he lost to wlad.

Mentally he has plenty more to give but his body just doesn't have it in it anymore. He was lucky that happened against Bellow imagine if it was against Wlad, Wilder of Joshua, he could have been killed.

Achilles ruptures are generally considered a "old mans injury" which says as much about how his body is travelling..

The phrase "one big fight left in him" implies that David Haye has delivered in a big fight, which he hasn't. David Haye has never performed well in a big fight. He has beaten a few B-level fighters, but he has never done anything more.

Have to keep busier and get the body right. Partying doesn't help. You'd be amazed what you can do even being middle-aged if you live a healthier lifestyle.
