There’s no real interest for flyweights over here. They had to pull Edwards’ last show as no tickets were sold, so it’s game over really. Sunny is better off with MTK/Probellum.
I remember reading or watching a Sunny interview a while back who said he wanted to have his career with Frank, how quick things change. Frank clearly shelled out to get Sunny the belt fight bringing an established champion over, but he’s not seen any return on his investment yet.
The lighter weights have been a financial graveyard here for years. Mickey Duff even reckoned he lost money on Charlie Magri. Mind you, Mickey would say that wouldn't he ?
One problem is not enough lower weight fighters so the divisions look thin Domestically. Secondly I think you really need freakish power (Nas power) to become a star.
Quality fighter but no power and comes across an absolute bellend so he’s never going to shift any tickets. Frank will have a big push behind Yarde again. Big hitter, more of a puncher than a boxer and a good talker. Very marketable.
Definitely. Yarde comes across like a bellend to me but he's got the good looks and muscles to pull it off. A skinny runt of a bellend doesn't work like a muscular, good looking bellend. Granted, they are two entirely different types of bellends.
Sunny would have a lot more fans if he went with Sky/Boxxer. Can't be understated how powerful the media machine like Sky is. He's a quality fighter and maybe could benefit from a big fight over in Japan where Flyweight is regarded higher?
