http://www.badlefthook.com/2013/4/2...stupid-embarrassing-stiverne-fight-hbo-boxing For years, Chris Arreola has talked about weight and getting over weight issues, but sadly, it's been all talk. Right now he's 247-248. He says his goal weight is 240. Yet years ago he declared he should never come into a fight over 240. The guy was a light heavy as an amateur. Lets be real...a good weight for Arreola would be 225-230, not 240. If Stiverne is fit and ready, then years of obesity will catch up with Arreola Saturday night.
You think it would impossible to be as fat as he is considering all the training he must do. I remember a sprint rider, an olympic gold medallist no less, who ate KFC every day, but he was still in great shape. **** knows what Chris is stuffing his fat ass with. However, I think Chris can manage to make it through this fight being a mess because Stiverne has a very low work rate.
Sure, it would have been the end of the line if it was Wladimir he was fighting. Bermane is a mediocre fighter.
No way. Cris takes this. Is that his official weight? He looked thinner than that last time I saw him. If I knew how to embed pictures, I'd put some of us up here.
I'm surprised so many people a writing off Stiverne, like it or not, he does have that punchers chance to KO Arreola I don't expect this to go over 4-5 rounds
Arreola is clearly the favourite as he has fought at a higher level. But I would not write off Stiverne. Niether guy is that skilled and should have no problem finding each others chins, so anything could happen.
A guy with arms like this stands a chance against any opponent. This content is protected #TeamStiverne
Stiverne has taken this more seriously than Cris "Cheeseburger" Aurreola. He's entering the ring in top form against a sluggish 240 pound "Nipple". This will be a repeat of Kirk Johnson's knockout of Oleg Maskaev, with the Canadian coming out on top again! ...
I'll admit this fight is very much a toss-up. Both Stiverne and Arreola have been largely inactive for years....only fighting light touches. If Arreola does win this fight, then I don't think he'll go any further than this. I suppose he'd have a fair chance of KOing the Banks/Mitchell winner. But he won't beat Vitali Klitschko or Tyson Fury.
A lot of people sleepin on Stivern. Witherspoon was able to deck Arreola... it's conceivable that Stivern could do the same and keep him there. It's a toss up fight still and I'm picking Arreola... but it's not a confident pick at all. I'm excited for this fight.
