The entire HBO B.A.D. broadcast team sucks and Bob Papa is boring.

Papa is not bad, per se, he just shows no passion for the sport. Lampley may have his faults, but he is always into the moment.

 

Harold Lederman's scorecard was laughable. What a horrible, biased card, I had a problem with that.

Quintana landed the cleaner, sharper, much harder punches. Carlos had ring generalship the entire fight rendering Williams jab and reach totally ineffective, he was more accurate and outlanded Williams.

I just think it's good that we still get to see the last great heavyweight on TV.

 

What HBO should do is get rid of Harold Lederman, or move him up closer to the ring cause this knucklehead always has the wrong guy winning the fight. What the hell is wrong with this character?!!

 

I think most fans are too hard on these guys.

I'm obviously a Lampley guy, but Papa is a seasoned professional and does a competent job calling a fight and incorporating the other members of the team. He doesn't have a ton of emotion, true, which is why I don't think he'd get the call as the No. 1 guy at the point Lampley moves on.

Fran Charles was the worst lead guy ever. He obviously wasn't a boxing fan and he even mispronounced fighters' names and **** like that. Sloppy and clueless. He was terrible.

Lennox, sad to say, is hopeless. He just doesn't have it. He's trying to be more assertive now, but it's all 101-type stuff, and it takes him forever to deliver.

"He's boxing really great right about now, boxing really strongly, definitely has his man on the defensive." Comments like that are nothing but noise.

Albert is too slick for me, and generic because he's so cliche and by the book. I actually prefer the more understated Nick Charles from ShoBox. You can tell he likes the sport.

Kellerman was great last night, I thought. He's getting better and better. He's much more up to speed on what's happening, whereas the game passed Larry by long ago. Max made some very cogent points about the WW division and PW's place within it.

 

Foreman was terrible.

I hated Foreman as an announcer. His work on Hopkins/Trinidad was atrocious. I thought Roy Jones was excellent, but he apparently wasn't willing to put in the time.

And Steward is solid, too.
