The entire HBO B.A.D. broadcast team sucks and Bob Papa is boring.

I like the Showtime team.

 

Which one?

Personally, I find myself digging the VS guys most regularly, both in analysis and editorial opinion. Matthews and Bernstein would be a dream team.

 

Manny Steward isn't bad but his "exactly as i thought he would" bit gets on my nerves from time to time.

 

Lennox is awesome, how can you hate a guy who said "his shape is out of shape".

 

Lennox is getting better IMO, at least he's pronouncing names right now. Lampley is truly one of a kind and I can't imagine how HBO will ever be able to replace him once his career ends. I enjoy Merchant 99% of the time but can understand why others bash on him sometimes. Kellerman is also getting much more acceptable (I think he's been reading criticizm's of him on ESB).

ShowTimes team is good but also are missing that excitement ingredient that Lampley's passion brings to the show. There've been several times just recently that Berentsein has repeatedly either mispronounced a fighters name or simply called him someone else's name entirely. Tessitore I can't care much for sometimes, but I like Atlas a good bit.

 

Kellerman is still very annoying, I'm still wondering why he was hired...

 

I agree It was garbage. Kellerman was even more annoying than usual. I remember thinking lampley would be good because he isn't full of himself. He knows that hes there to only tell ppl wtf is going on - blow by blow.

I hate it when we have an exciting fight on our hands, and the commentators make it so dry by acting as if they know exactly whats going on....and I especially hate when they make stupid predictions based on their shitty logic.

EG...kellerman says "wow williams isn't looking that great against quintana. that says something about how good cotto really is"

No, Kellerman said exactly what guys on ESB are/would be saying.. that win makes Cotto look VERY good.. his point was VERY valid.

I like Papa, he's no Lamps, but then again who is? I'm a big Wally Matthews fan, and think the Vs. team is tops, with HBO's main crew being second.

Fran Charles was the absolute worst of all time, him and Lennox RUINED fights in a way that only Teddy "the show is all about me, not the fighters" Atlas can.
