Kovalev is a monster. Ward is doomed. Even if Ward fights his absolute best, he is still dealing with a very good boxer who will smash him up. Good luck to Ward, he is going to need it.
It will be great if Kovalev beats Ward, there will be no more questioning the guy. If Ward wins, he'll use it as a chance to fight a string of Alexander Brands and the rats will defend it because he fought Kovalev.
One of the negatives with Ward is that he has not fought with enough regularity to keep himself at the level he needs to be at. He has slipped quite a bit from his earlier days and Kovalev has stayed active. Don't think he will be able to match up well against Kov. The long period of relative inactivity will catch up with him. His speed and output has slipped noticeably. His power is not enough to bother or keep Kov off him and he is going to have a lot of trouble as Kovalev is at the top of his game due to his fighting frequency. could be wrong, just my opinion. Don't want to just dismiss Ward but the math does not add up in his favor.
That same midget would be a cruiser today and would have pummeled Krusher into oblivion. And I have nothing but respect for Krusher, but the hype machine is on fire.
