He deserved to get reinstated at the olympics but he got fairly comprehensively knocked out in his next bout. Has he improved much? I've yet to see him since then.

Havent really following the amateur game for quite a while i find it a bit unwatchable but judging from his fights as a pro i would say his style is better suited for the pro game than the amateurs.

From what i have seen so far he looks like the real deal although his competition hasnt been much he has dealt with them with ease and looked very good doing it. Seems to have it all, can box and bang, doesnt wastes much energy and is very accurate with his punches, mixes offense and deffense very well, good combination puncher to the head and body, has every punch in his ****nal(best punches are his left and right to the body and his jab) and mixes his combinations to the head and body very well, terrific body puncher, not a great puncher but has some good pop in his punches the same with speed not the fastest guy out there but compensates that with great timing, looks very mature for his age very focused in the ring and very calm seems like a seasoned vet in there, ,Strong for his weight class sometimes coming in the ring two divisions above what he originally weighed in at pre fight weigh in, also from what i've heard hes a very hard worker and a very disciplined individual, my only question mark about him is if he can take a good punch(He looked stunned by for a second against Lartey in the seventh round of their fight) but that will only be answered when he steps up in opposition(hope he fights someone in the top 10 this year) other than that i only see positives but only the future will tell if hes the truth or not, i believe he is.

 That's rich buddy. This guy is fighting bum after bum
for a reason. He's just not any good. Another poser for the
    casual urban fan.

Spence Jr will be fighting Samuel Vargas 20-1-1 (10) on the Garcia-Peterson undercard. He should deal with this guy with ease.

Not the step up that i wanted to see but at least hes staying active wich is very important for a prospect, hopefully he starts to step up his comp this year.

I would like to him fight at least three more times this year maybe against some of these guys:

A rugged tough guy like say Alfonso Gomez or Soto Karass, someone who wont fall with the first shot he gets hit with and can give him some good rounds.

Then a top 20 guy like Diego Chaves(dont think hes with TR :huh) or fellow prospect Sammy Vazquez JR.

Late in the year take on a former titlist or former title challenger, someone like Guerrero, Alexander or Porter.

And if he keeps winning a title shot sometime next year.

With all this said i doubt things will happen like i whish they would but as long as he keeps active, steps up in competition and keeps improving i'll be good with it.:bbb

I assume it is hard gradually building your fighter. Right now the level of combo he is fighting I think he is blowing away too easy. Would like to see him step up in comp also he seems to be the goods. Eventually would like to see how his chin holds up he has a good array of punches and seems to be able to figure out what works in the ring and what will work. It's always nice to seem some IQ and punch variation. Another fighter that looks good is Shabransky I think he is a LHW though. I've seen a lot of prospects come up lately where they don't seem to be able to throw anything but hooks or just straight punches, some will have a pawing or no jab it's dissappointing. Then I see fighters like Spence and Shabransky and I'm like thank god there's hope.

He's one of the few US prospects i'm really excited for, like his attitude as well.

He really needs to step up in competition so we can see where he's at. At the moment, i'm mildly impressed.

If anyone on this forum knows something about you is that you and facts dont go together, but i'll give you the benefit of the doubt and will wait for you to give me the reasons why you say its a fact. Maybe you can make a good case for him and make me rethink my opinion but i highly doubt that.Like i said i'll wait.:bart

    Knowing you i'll wait forever.:bart

He's not referring to the B league. Only the A list.

Errol Spence is a great talent but I also think that Imam Imir and Lamont Roach gives him a run for the money.

Don't hold your breath, he's going to respond with "he has more power". Truth is he is trained by roach so that's why he loves him. Gomez hasn't faced any one better then on Spence's resume. They both have been fighting c fighters. Not a bad thing but Spence just performs better then Gomez in terms of boxing efficiency. Gomez gets wreckless often and when he faces a decent puncher boxer, he will have a difficult time.
