A decent effort but it doesn't tell the whole story... we need an EPIC Decebal... I know you're more than capable! And maybe end with something like.... "and remember, there's still no official confirmation yet"

It was some rubbish I copied and pasted from earlier in the thread...

Well, it would have to be an epic...and some poem if it has to overcome the ending: "and remember, there's still no official confirmation yet"...I feel DanePug is the man for the job...he knows the twists and turns better than me, and he is good at the "technical" side...

Yap, but it could happen though, couldn't it? Sure, you might say, only if Kessler lets him...but some of those fat refs can become extremely proactive when they really have to, if you know what I mean!...

That website is just a legal scam type thing that traumatises young poets. On another forum I once post on I remember how excited someone was having reached the finals of the competetion and were invited to attend the awards ceremony costing 10,000$ or something. How we laughed at them

I wouldn't even post some of this my rubbish on that site next to complete cowdung like that Mary "poem". :patsch Maybe we could convince Blocky to write for them though!

I wrote a poem once, when I was 9 or 10 in junior school (however long ago that was), it was so good I've been scared to try and follow it up ever since. I seriously wouldn't be able to match it's brilliance today.

Junior school? That doesn't sound British...I'm confused...Anyway, let's have that poem then! Like your new old avatar, by the way!

No! Calzaghe fans cannot come from outside Britain!

I don't remember the exact words, only the basic theme. It was so good, I had obviously been helped by my parents or maybe a poet laureate, or so the teacher thought.

We all had to write a simile poem. Whilst everyone else was busy comparing sheep with clouds, I compared a gnarled tree and a wolf, in a brooding, dark masterpiece full of menacing imagery. I mentally peaked when I was 10.

Hey! Peaking at ten is not bad, if your dad is the poet laureate! Some people peak at 21 and they're still no wiser than a gifted 4 year old!

Anyway I hope you now understand why I cannot participate in this thread. It would be like fighting Jeff Lacy, putting on the best performance ever seen in the ring, then going back to fight Peter Manfredo.
