 No...China Joe won't write. He says unless it's something special, he cannot bring himself to post it.

    The Book of Joe

There was a man in the land of Cymru whose name was Joe, and that man was perfect and upright and did Frank's bidding and eschewed hype. His substance was great, amassing scores of defences under his belt, so that this man was the greatest boxer in Europe.

Now there came a day when loyal supporters started to question whether Joe did Frank's bidding because he loved the easy fights and big money. So Frank decided to test his loyalty by smiting him greatly, for he arranged for Joe to fight the Viking Warrior. And behold, Joe received a mighty beating from the Viking, for between the rounds of painful punishment, Joe would wring his hands and cry to his cornermen:

"Know now that Kessler hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net. He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths. He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head. He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he removed like a tree. He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me unto him as one of his enemies. His punches come together, and raise up their way against me, and encamp round about my tabernacle. He hath put my fans far from me, and mine supporters are verily estranged from me. Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the punch of Kessler hath touched me."

Many nights after the fight, once he regained some consciousness, at last, he cried out in desperation: "Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said: "There is a man child conceived". Why died I not from the womb? Why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly? My soul is weary of my life; my days are past, my purposes are broken off, even the thoughts of my heart. And not least, my "0" is lost!"

And yet, Joe held fast in his integrity, for he cursed Frank not for leading hin like a lamb to slaughter against Kessler, but instead proclaimed: "Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: Frank gave, and Frank hath taken away; blessed be his name."

So Frank, convinced of Joe's loyalty and faith, blessed him with the Hopkins fight, which Joe won, and the Taylor fight, which Joe won and was thus lauded more than ever before and his legacy became truly great. Amen!

:good I looked for it too; had to really dig to find it!

...All the quotations are from the King James' version, altered just here and there; I take no credit whatsoever! The Book of Job is a great piece of literature, indeed!:yep

I have never read the book - it is on my to do list now:D.

The genius of it all is the analogy, and how you laid it out - give yourself credit, because its awesome.

You have set the bars high - and judging by the posters here, they have taken it seriously - some might even quit their dayjobs:lol::lol::lol:.

Keep it up, and I hope I can contribute with something of quality.

I cannot wait to read some more quality stuff from you and the other regulars. Maybe we'll even convince some newbies to blot their copy-book and have a go!

Well, you do set a pretty high standard for this thread, Dece. The Book of Joe...

Here's one for us common folks:

    They fight, and bite,
And fight, and bite, and fight,
    Fight, fight, fight,
    Bite, bite, bite,
    The Joey and Micky Fans!
