Cry of the Blackbirds:

Raise your swords up high
See the black birds fly
Let them hear your rage
Show no fear

Attack!

Charge your horses across the fields
Together we ride into destiny
Have no fear of death when it's your time
Oden will bring us home when we die

The ground trembles under us as we make our thunder charge
The pounding hooves strikes blinding fear into their hearts
Our helmets shine in the sun as we near their wall of shields
Some of them turn and run when they hear our frenzied screams

Draw your swords to strike

The enemies are in disarray ride them down as they run
Send them to their violent graves, don't spare anyone
Dead and wounded lie all around see the pain in their eyes
Over the field an eerie sound, as we hear the raven's cry

I would like to thank all my overseas ESB folk for creating the best thread I've witnessed at ESB since I've been here ('99).

Add it to the Golota Express and Vitali would have KO'd Lennox legendary threads.

I'll give you some yankee rhymes shortly to continue this bad boy.

Water
Back and forth it endlessly sways.
A place of destruction and birth.
Thrashing opponents to a haze.
A Viking was perfected by earth.

Earth.
Massive and strong; next of kin.
Immobility it shows we admire.
Receiving blows on castiron chin.
A dane was now born on fire.

Fire
Teasing and eating with immolation.
Unrelentless will, he fights with flair.
Destroying opponents by mutilation.
Body of speed, the product of air.

Air
However light, it blows with force.
4th of november will end the slaughter.
Elements united hails the mighty norse,
Kesslers domain is simply blessed by water.

 

More like a quasi-amateur . I had actually only written a dozen poems in my life prior to this thread, nor do I read poetry.

I wish I had picked up techniques from my former friend and my ex-gf, but practise makes perfect(or better ) - I simply love this thread, and I hope I can evolve along with it.

 

We oughta collect this into an anthology - so it can be downloaded from Kesslers and JCs websites.
