Typical internet forum situation, you miscalculate postcount as meaning you have the most valid opinions.

Fortunately the moderators here don't seem to agree.

What has given you the impression that post counts has anything to do with validity of opinions or that anyone here believes that? Post count is often indicative of longevity and also often means the poster's quality is known, whether it be good or bad. This sometimes is helpful in determining a course of action with certain posters or sets precedent over the context of their posts. Many posters here have high post counts and few like them.

You jump to alot of conclusions. This is also a typical internet forum situation. What is your issue with posters expressing that they would miss another posters contributions?

Well being that you're talking about post counts before people can make threads and suggesting that certain trolls be removed when not realising that Amsterdam with his hatred of Pavlik, Taylor and "Joy Boy" is one of the biggest trolls out, then it leads me to believe you don't really have much of a handle on your own forum.

I may be new here in terms of how long I've been posting, but I've been in enough boxing forums around the place to know this type of posting group.

Realtorchill, Stovepipe and co over at Doghouse

Pringle, Goodson and co over at Boxrec.

You guys are no different, except the aforementioned group actually shows respect to fighters, even if they don't like them. Let's see you guys do that, just once, til then, you just come across as the Fat Guy from the Simpsons, nitpicking what other people think, thinking you have it right 100% of the time.

More assumptions. You need to stop making them.

One: Amsterdam is not a troll. He has an unrealistic hatred for certain fighters. I have argued with him on this a number of times. He is also very very arrogant. He knows I think this. But this is not a troll. He doesn't make thread after thread about it. He may respond in threads already there, but this is not the same thing.

Two: You clearly don't know the posting group here. But you continue to make assumptions about posters. You have prejudged without even truly looking around. This is your problem. A post count would cut down on aliases trolling and making BS threads. This is a large problem here, especially around major fight time. They spam the forums and often post things just to cause a fight. You haven't been here long enough to know this. It has nothing to do with the validity of a new poster and his opinions. I haven't said that at all. You can search my posts. You won't see a single time that I have dismissed a poster based on his post count. You seem to be dismissing my opinions based on mine though, or rather, attributing qualities to me that you have no basis for based on it. You seem to be itching for a confrontation on that front. I won't give you one. You have your opinion, I have mine.

Three: Name one time I have disrepsected a fighter? Yes, we all nitpick. You are doing so right now.

Really? You have seen me dismiss someone based on their post count? You have seen me disrespect fighters or call them bums or anything of the sort? Have you ever seen Brooklyn do this?

One: You don't call someone making threads about two of the top fighters in the world at the moment being nothing more than bums trolling? Nor his "narcissistic" personality that he can't even pull off properly? He attempts to be a troll and for the most part succeeds because most people in here have no problems having a battle rather than a discussion

Two: I've been here longer than you think, pancho. It isn't an assumption to talk about the posting groups, hell, look in this thread alone, you guys are talking about your own posting group with reverence. I'm just showing it for what it is, the same old crap found in any other forum where people believe they're experts on something.

Three: Notice how I pointed out people in this thread were disrespectful of fighters and ultimately looking for arguments, I didn't say you in particular, did I?

Maybe you should read what I write, rather than take it personally... otherwise you conform to the opinion I state above about you guys.

Bringing Brooklyn up is another matter, Brooklyn is about the only one that I've had regular conversations with out of this group that doesn't disrespect fighters, although I will say I feel he has a bias towards older day fighters.

Brooklyn however is not you, not Amsterdam and not Bear in this thread, talking about "The elite", "The group of three".

Why get defensive towards someone stating I have a good point?

I can't say that I have. You and Brooklyn are good posters but I do remember you arguing with me about Adamek vs Dawson though. Amsterdam and a few other "elites" I'm not impressed with.

I suggest you read the thread a bit more carefully instead of asking me to read what you said. You said "you guys", so clearly you have lumped me into the group you are talking about. Therefore, his agreement with your point would suggest he has lumped me into the same group.

One: You may have been here longer than I think, but you haven't been here that long. Otherwise your assumptions would be more spot on. You're clearly intelligent. So it is clear you are guessing about some of the posters here. Your intelligence level suggests that if you had been here longer, you would have a firmer grasp on who everyone is.

Two: No, that is not trolling IMO. Making racist threads or posting threads calling other fighters bums MULTIPLE times is trolling IMO. It has nothing to do with having a battle. It's relative to the forum. If every poster who made a thread like that was banned, the forum would be quite small. Those who do it multiple times about the same fighter would be a more realistic goal here from my experience.

Three: I already addressed the fact that you have responded to me by saying "you guys". You have not differentiated me from that group since you said that, so it is automatic to assume you have lumped me in with all of your opinions on them.

Four: If you would follow your own advice and actually READ this thread, you will clearly see that I said I would not want to be part of any "elite group". I clearly said that I don't agree with Amsterdam and have different views than him. I posted that I don't feel the need to prove myself to anyone. Never once do I mention being part of an "elite" group of posters. My name may have been mentioned by others, but not by me. If you have something to contradict this, post it.

Lastly, you have not had regular discussions with me. Nor have you ever seen me disrespect a fighter. Again, you assume. Or you give the illusion that you do by saying "you guys" when responding to me. Perhaps you should try dealing with ME, and not the group you think I belong to.

I have argued with a ton of people, including the "elites", whomever that pertains to in your view.

Adamek and Dawson? I think both are very good fighters? What was your position that I took up the other side?

Don't make a suggestion to me to read the thread when you yourself haven't taken your own advice.

One: You are attempting to defend Amsterdam's posting style as someone who isn't a troll when he himself has shown all the blatant hallmarks of a troll in this thread, any thread involving Floyd that he posts in, any thread involving Taylor or Pavlik and his over the top zealot nature for certain fighters also.

Obviously he thrives on feeling like he's above other people, he just can't pull it off enough, which brings him to his need to have his little group around him to feel "involved" - outside of that, you would probably find the majority of people don't even like the guy because of his lack of respect for fighters and the inability he has to make mintelligent statements

Two: Shows me you can't really read, Point Two wasn't about trolling. Point Two was about groups who think they're an elite brand of poster to a community and that the community would cease to exist without them. Please, go back and read the thread.

Three: Look at the way in which you're defending "the group". Then tell me you're not part of it.

You know what? This is more personal than I like to get. So thanks, I'll leave you guys to it, I don't really care much for confrontation, just thought I'd point a few things out. A few things that others seem to be in agreement with.

If it is more personal than you like to get, then again, I suggest you stop assuming things.

I am not defending Amsterdam. What part of me calling very very arrogant did you not understand. I don't dislike him and look past that when dealing with him. The only thing I am defending is my position that on ESB, a troll would have a much different defintiion than what Amsterdam may or may not be. This is also how I know you haven't been here that long, otherwise you would have seen some of the fights Amsterdam and I have had over his Taylor hatred and bashing. I clearly take offense to it, especially his saying he was stupid and incapable of speaking. But just like I do with anyone else, a different thread means a new start each time out. I understand the precedent set, but only hold it against someone if it's wide spread.

I am aware many people don't like Amsterdam. This has nothing to do with me. But others would tell you there are much worse. I get along with him fine overall and respect his opinion. This does not mean that I don't disagree with him and argue my points with him as much as anyone else. You seem to be viewing things from an all or nothing view point.

I wasn't cross referencing points to your points by number, just seperating my own thoughts by number. You clearly know this and took the low road to take a cheap shot. If I couldn't read, you would have no response from me at all.

Lastly, I haven't defended the group. If I have, show me where? I defended my own position from your erroneous assumptions. The fact that you keep trying to railroad my points and thoughts into something is a bit unsettling. I don't recall defending anyone's point of view here but my own. Again, instead of constantly saying I do this or that, show me proof.
