He's happy just to win the rounds and get the nod like in the amateurs. His only hope on going further is getting a coach who is going to light a fire under his arse imo
Almaraz survives the final round. Even backing Ugas up in the final seconds. Ugas won every round. But not that impressed with him really. He has what i call the Clottey disposition. He has displayed a lot of flaws. Very one paced and on the slow side. Speedy gonzalez' or those with a good workrate are ganna be his kryptonite. To many single shots too and doesn't turn his shoulder but just eats everything. Even when it's blocked some will get through. Open to body shots as well.
Not sure why Ugas didn't continue to look to land that right hand again in similar fashion. Feinted downstairs and then pounded that right hand over, and then every second that followed he was content to throw one shot at a time and not really force the initiative. Bizarre. Don't think he's anywhere close to the level of fellow Cuban counterparts who are considered ''top'' fighters as many have said he is, too simple to figure out.
I have no idea. It went a bit choppy on me so when it came back to some guy called ''Skip'' shouting like a wildman about Floyd getting cut I thought it was some kind of horrific spin-off segment.
I was like WTF is this? I didn't expect FNF's to do that to us. Bernardo needs to learn some house rules. lol
Interesting first round. Kennedy pressing the fight. Beating him to the punch with the jab. Martin trying to walk into some shots many on the back. Landed a nice uppercut and right hand round the guard. But Kennedy just edge the first for me. Good start. Martin has a lot of physicality of Kennedy. Would like to see him settle down.
Second round. Kennedy making the mistake of just marching forward and squaring up momentarily. Kennedy also falling in and getting countered. Martin maybe realised Kennedy might not hurt him and has settled down and sat down on his punches. Landed the more effecive punches in that round. Martin round.
