Personally I would like to see him in a rematch with Molina. I Wouldnt mind seeing him in title shot afterwards. I cant see him beating any of the world champions at 135 though, its a solid division. Wot u reckon?
Really enjoyed that fight Lundy is such a sharp puncher with the jab and straight right was rocking Williams' head back at will last night. Think that early knock down really put Lundy on his game wasn't as lazy as he can be. Looking forward to seeing him out again.
Haven't watched this yet, shall do later. What're people's views on the fight? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Q4fnP_Pww8[/ame]
Pabby may be gone but this thread lives on :smoke This content is protected Michael Katsidis vs Albert Mensah, 10 rounds, light welterweights; Artemio Reyes vs Alan Sanchez, 10 rounds, welterweights. I'm not going to be doing a lengthy breakdown. Katsidis is very much a known quantity. He's exciting good to watch but he's lost 3 of his last 4 to the excellent Juan Manuel Marquez and the not so excellent, but still very good, Robert Guerrero and Ricky Burns. (The win came over a fat bum named Michael Lozada, who was also stopped by none other than Paulie Malignaggi, which tells you all you need to know about him.) I get the feeling he's done as much as he ever will in boxing, although he's not shot or even close just yet. He's not quite world class and he won't ever reach that level. He'll still be a popular fighter for a while yet though with his exciting, aggressive style. Mensah I know nothing about so I won't make something up about him. It's fair to say that if Katsidis is to have any chance of being a contender at 140 lbs (I forgot to say he's moving up) then this is a must-win fight for him. In the co-feature, Artemio Reyes faces Alan Sanchez in a rematch of a 2010 fight which Reyes won by split decision. Neither has lost since, with Reyes upsetting US Olympian Javier Molina not long ago and taking his undefeated record. It's a 4am start so it'll be tough, especially if you're planning to stay up on Saturday night as well, but it's Katsidis so it's unlikely to be dull.
Good post bajingo. Is katsidis still gonna campaign at 135 so? Any idea is it being shown live? No nothing about mensah either but usually FNF match ups are fairly even once there are no late withdrawals
No he's moving up to 140 for good. He planned to do that last year but came back down to fight Burns. It's live on ESPN America over here, 4am start which is 2 hours later than usual.
http://bit.ly/HQnZJa Pretty emotional stuff here about Artemio Reyes who's fighting tonight. He's been taking care of his dad since 2008, when he went into a coma after a car accident, and he finally passed away last week.
Mayfield had everyone talking about him a while back when he sparred pac man. Top prospect IMO. Anyone know if shawn porter is boxing soon? Another FNF prospect! Interesting to see pavlik on FNF, his rebuilding could take time
