Seen both of them Serrano was on ESPN this year in a good fight. Good outside fighter with nice straight punches. I think he'll find it tough with Mayfield who is more of an in and out fighter. Very athletic and very fast. I've seen Mayfield but it was against lower opponents where he could get away with it because his pace was much better. Likes to jump in and unload a good few quick shots then jump out before anything comes back. Serrano is more of a lead fighter and unless he can get his jab on Mayfield early I think he'll struggle a fair bit as he doesn't look the quickest on the counter. Serrano does set up shots very well though. From what I remember though he struggled going the distance last time. Looking forward to this fight actually.
I've always intended on watching Mayfield but have never got around to it. SportsLeader rates him highly, but appears to have gone AWOL on boxing-related matters(as have I, to be fair). His most high-profile fight - against Steve Forbes - is on YouTube though if you want to give them a watch. He's known mostly for being a sparring partner of Paquiao's, with varying rumours having circulated on why he was told his services were no longer required in the build-up to the Mosley fight(ranging from persistent fouling to he was just giving him too much trouble). He's one of those ''old prospects'' from what I gather, could do with stepping up a level or two pronto. Seeing as it's live this week I'll do my best to watch it as I like Mayfield from what I've seen of him. What are the odds of us getting the Glen Johnson fight live next month? I pay literally no attention to basketball so dunno if the season will still be going on July 13th.
I dunno why the ref even bothered asking him to "walk to me" after the knockdown? He was all over the shop and staggered into his arms then said "ok you got 1 min" He may as well took his pulse and said your alive you got a min.
FNFs regular Ji-Hoon Kim goes up against 23-0 Alisher Rahimov tonight:bbb 2 am UK Time this week http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:7948438
Like Kim but you have to go with Rahimov. Would like to see Kim win usually puts on a good show. Not live though :sad2
Talk about Arum punches on the undercard?:yep FNFs is still good viewing even when the fight is ****. Teddy and Joe still have fun unlike other broadcasts, Kim enhances his rep as a TV friendy fighter tonight:good
Kim's fight was fun, was close but he deserved the win. There was a heavyweight fight first, don't watch it.
