    Diaz paws with jabs. Soto stares at him. Diaz tries to maul Soto in the corner, ref warns him for something with a shout and a wag of the finger (low? butt?). Soto lands a sharp jab to Diaz's cheek. Moments later a six punch combination to the head. Diaz responds with three consecutive misses slipped artfully by Soto. Diaz drives a straight left hand into Soto's sternum, and then throws some loopers at Soto's head as Soto's trapped in the corner, but Diaz is eating 3 or 4 for every 1 he gets in. Soto goes back to boxing, until the final 5 seconds where Diaz pounds him on the ropes, almost physically pushing Soto through them.

    Good round for Diaz. Almost his first won round of the night. But not quite.

    Soto down, slip. Diaz is still coming forward and Soto just doesn't have his same mobility anymore. Diaz pushes Soto again into the ropes, and as hinted at being possible earlier, Soto's upper body is pushed between the top and the middle ropes. The ref yells, and Soto looks gassed as they get ready to resume the action. Diaz chases Soto around and lands straight left hands.

    Diaz finally gets a round outta IB.
