    Round 12

Clash of heads. Both guys paw at their brows. They touch gloves and get back to work. Well, Manny does. Clottey does open up during the 2nd minute, but the much faster hands of Pacquiao are reaching him every time he gets momentum going. Clottey clubs Pacquiao with a couple of right hands to the side of the head, and Pac drills his guard and the space below his elbows with hard jabs and left hands. Pac a little arm weary in the last minute but it won't matter unless Clottey has some serious KO plan. He doesn't. A few combinations here and there. Pac keeps his hands moving until the end.

    10-2, 118-110 Pacquiao

Yeah Clottey was never going to make a fight out of it, people haven't learned from his last 2 big shots. The Clottey blueprint is to make your opponent look bad whilst losing too many rounds to win the fight, finish the fight in good physical condition, and then chuck a sad.

Well I give myself a pat on the back for making it through that snorefest.

As far as the fight goes, Clottey was who I thought he was; a good fighter who lacks teh heart to be a true elite champion. I was also under-impressed with Pac's inability to land cleanly. I'd say about 90% of his punches were blocked.

was clottey even TRYING to win that fight? there's no way he can actually be proud of that performance, right? he just made a fight with one of the most exciting fighters of all time an absolute snooze-fest. unbelievable.
