If they ever fought, AJ is getting knocked down at least once. With his glass jaw, that might be all it takes. I think it would be a fan friendly fight.

    Absolute nonsense in every paragraph.

Pretty sure The Prince dropped old man Ortiz twice and yet was apparently a one sided fight yet and Ruiz v Arreola was a slugfest?
B***h tits breazeale lost every second of the fight against Joshua, he wasn’t tagging him and there was no mild success.
There was also no war with Whyte, he landed one left hook and was on top for about 15 seconds of the fight, the rest of it was completely one sided.

Wilder signed to fight povetkin and then refused to fight him in a rearranged match as he stated he didn’t want to fight against a know ped cheat. He then went on to fight Ortiz twice and Stiverne again.

Im convinced that Wlad would have been able to knock out Joshua if he didnt get gun shy after he had him down. And at the same time im convinced that Joshua Would have won against Ruiz IF he didnt start to head hunt after the knockdown.

There are five guys with dents in their heads out there who think Wilder was a legit champ. I think, rather, the scenario is that since things are not going well for AJ, there is a smallish group of butthurt Americans who try to draw some moral equivalency. There isn't and Wilder will always be a fraud whereas AJ will always be a high quality but flawed guy. Said group cries loud enough and uses enough alt identities that good fellows like yourself become mistaken about their size and scope.

Even in his defeats to Fury, Deontay Wilder did show power and heart.

Who cares? He still got his ass kicked.

And he straight out quit in the second.

It makes me laugh the way people talk about Wilder now. Now it's all oh what great heart he showed, what a warrior let's give him a gold star and participation trophy. What happened to the baddest man on the planet that was going to leave Fury convulsing?

Considering Wilder a true champion is one of the wildest takes I've seen here. Of course there have been a couple, but they were never taken seriously and some were probably trolling.

You think Wilder quit in the 2nd fight? Ok I see what's going on here. It seems like you have some hate for Wilder, and there is nothing wrong with having some hate but what is wrong is when that hate begins to cloud your judgement. If you watched the Fury - Wilder trilogy and came to the conclusion that Deontay Wilder is a quitter, then your emotions are overpowering your logic.

AJ isn't Fury. This is a Wilder vs AJ thread, Wilder getting battered by Tyson Fury doesn't mean AJ would do the same.

No one claims Wilder as a true champion except doublechin and his alt posse. Wilder lost punch resistance permanently from Fury so now the fight between him and AJ is simply whomever lands first wins.

He 'quit' in much the same way AJ 'quit' in the Ruiz fight, i.e. still on his feet and not actually uttering the words "I quit".

And no, I didn't watch the Fury Wilder trilogy and come to the conclusion that Wilder is a quitter. I specifically said I was impressed with his heart in the third fight and that it absolved him of his passive capitulation in the second.

    For sure, thin resume's.

    Even Ali you could go:
    - was dropped vs henry cooper, an english light heavy that cut when there was a gush of win. Needed cheating to survive that fight?
    - patterson, got schooled by some ikea bum
    - liston, mob controlled threw both fights, second was the most obvious fix ever.
    - got praised for beating a gun shot up recovered williams.
    - got beat up by Frazier first time and lost fight of the century.
    - should have been dq'd for holding in the second.
    - was willing to quit in manilla but futch beat him to it....
    - got lucky vs foreman and ducked the rematch.
    - lost vs young but robbed him
    - lost vs Norton every time buy got robbery decisions
    - got humiliated vs that japanese guy kicking him on the ground
    - got beat up by spinks a 7-0! Fighter...
    - humiliated by Holmes

Of course I dont believe this and have Ali standing over George next to my desk here.
My point is that you can do it with anybody. Be it Ali, Louis, Lewis whoever.

Aj still got the best resume in heavyweight currently even with his losses.
Its too easy too rip his resume nowadays.
