I agree with you to an extent but just a few pointd as I personally don't think Wilder's resume should have aged in any positive way in direct comparison. It's unfortunate that it did.

Ortiz v Martin: Martin became champion through fortuitous circumstances. And though he was beaten by Ortiz. Ortiz got dropped twice in that fight once off a jab. That performance confirmed Ortiz is looking old and shot and little we didn't already know about Martin

About Breazeale: He was making a fight of it against Wilder too, until the inevitable finish. Plus he was shipped in to be Wilder's 9th defence (?), it was Joshua's first. I think some are reaching for literally anything trying to make these comparisons.

Regarding Wilder v Povetkin. Wilder didn't actually fly to Russia. And the outcome of the court cases make it look like the PBC never wanted that fight for Wilder and were very happy it never took place.

So I get what you are saying, but it really has only ever been about clutching at straws and obfuscation on the pro wilder side of the argument

Another thing, Joshua didn't get remotely out of first gear in that fight and looked happy to just bank some rounds while Wilder just went for it against an equally aggressive Breazeale. Against another common opponent who fought both men in much the same way Joshua got the stoppage earlier and wasn't rocked doing so.

Regardless, comparing respective performances against fighters the likes of Breazeale and Molina is completely pointless. Unfortunately most of Wilder's resume consists of fighters of this level so I guess it's naturally going to gravitate towards that when attempting to compare resumes with a superior fighter in Joshua.

Yup, Wilder was in the UK at the time, and flew back to the States a few days later. That fight wasn't remotely on the table, and his excuses for ducking it were later proved lies when he took on equally known juicers Stiverne and Ortiz (plus drugs banned Arreola).

    Brilliant post
I'm glad Fury got to fight whyte (a much improved whyte than than Aj fought) and showed his level

Old ortiz who Aj fans mock would be well higher than the majority of his resume

I'm not saying Wilders resume is golden, far from it, but neither is Joshua's

Old Wlad and maybe old Povetkin too is his best wins

The others are all chisora level as shown by Del himself

I personally believe Wilder would smash him and Eddie knows it
