One day perhaps we will get a full summary report of what happened in the ring. Instead of thotal amount of punches thrown and landed, how about this!

1 ) Total amount of slips, ducks, and blocks

2 ) Total amount of hooks thrown

    3 ) Total amount of in-punches thrown

4 ) Total amount of out punches thrown

5 ) Total amount of upper cuts thrown

6 ) Total amount of clinches

    You get the idea…

Perhaps we will. What we might never get though is what is most important: an account of how hard, clean or effective a punch is.

Saying a punch was a jab or a hook or an uppercut etc. tells us very little about how to assess it in boxing criteria terms.

At the end of day, all punch stats are; are the opinion of a person counting... A cute stat.

I think the stats are very close to being right. I would welcome additonal information.
