I think I have spotted the flaw in your train of thought.

 

Also, I don't see what this has to do with Golovkin. Golovkin is technically better than Kovalev, but Sergei has the physical attributes coupled with excellent boxing skills to make life hell for any fighter within range of his weight class. For what it's worth I think Kovalev beats both GGG (too big) and Ward (too strong, too skilled).

I couldn't agree more.

 

Funny thing is, many of the Ward backers now were convinced Hopkins would "school" or even stop Kova, which he hadn't done to anyone for over a decade.

We all know how that went. And then "age is just a number" quickly got changed to "old overnight" or "age finally caught up to him".

 

In hindsight Hopkins did very well to reach the final bell vs Kovalev.

 

No excuses here from me, as far as im concerned when or if they fight both will become the best name on the others resume. Also Ward looked extremely comfortable at this weight in his last fight he seems to of lost none of the skills that made his name get mentioned in the P4P lists.

Hope Kov destroys him though cuz he is so fukkn annoying and smug.

ROFL Ward HASNT fought Kovalev yet nothing is even finalized, I'll believe it when they are both in the ring. I still fear another inflamed knee or ingrowing toe nail might cause Ward to drop out AGAIN!!
But If they do fight & Ward does LEGITIMATELY beat Kovalev I will be the first to apologize to him & call him CHAMP!! If Sergey whips Ward's ass , like I believe he will, will you Ward fanatics do the same & congratulate Sergey????
I support both Sergey & Gennady Golovkin because they are FIGHTERS!!!! not Prima Donnas like some I could mention

 

Plenty of excuses... I made some in a different thread but....

"Kovalev had cuts... he couldn't see, Ward is a cheater"

"Vegas is home field advantage for Ward..."

"Ward didn't want to fight all he did was smother Sergei & made dude look ordinary"

"Andre didn't stand in front of Kslow as Kovalev and allow himself to get punched because he is a *****"

"All Ward did all nighg was counter Slowvalev when he tried to attack... he was boring x2"

 

no excuses, if Ward beats Kovalev it's a very good win

 

It's just a great straight up fight - Which RARELY happens in boxing.

Anyone who knows boxing knows Ward will UD Kovalev unless he has learned to uppercut from close quarters

 

This is what I'm talking about when I say it's PTSD. This is irrational fear. Ward has done and is doing what he said he was going to do, there's no evidence whatsoever that the fight won't take place. Everything is in your head, and you are looking real looney tunes right now. Just be a man and admit you're wrong, and move on and stop clinging to this irrational delusion.
