The fab four fights: scores settled

Hagler beat Hearns, but he was rocked and wobbled and took punches to win. I am not sure that was as sure a thing as some think. Had he fought Hearns again to fight with that intensity a second time would have been tough. One thing is that after the first fight Hearns and Hagler sort of became friends, and they did not hate each other anymore, different from the Leonard/Hagler fight where they disliked each other more after they fought.

 

As for Duran, after the first Leonard fight in 1980, Duran lost all the fights to the fab 4 and the fab 5th if you count Benitez. I am not sure how people can rate his success with this bunch on a loss. The Benitez fight is overlooked and Hearns/Duran was the most onesided of all the fab 4 matchups.

 

Fair opinion & i respect it

I've just put myself through Leonard/Duran III, ah jeezus am i ****in depressed or what, i've just watched the whole show & build up for the last 3 ****in hours. First time i've watched it in 20 years. Obviously being there at the fight & 20 years younger & full of demented crusader fury & hammering nails into my head to terrify all the squealing Leonard bitches what was in store for them after the fight once Roberto had totaled that **** Leonard.

**** it that has to be the worst of them all, Roberto got his pay day so able to pay his back taxes & get his U.S visa reinstated & Ray banked another pile of hansome $$$$. I'am so ****in depressed after watching that charade i'am going to come clean & admit what i've always known & as my son once asked me straight out "DAD" who was the best fighter of the 80's & before i could even think due to having had a few beers it slipped out before i could engage me brain......................
