Well, if you do I might put Wilfred at '3' ;) . I'm sticking with Cuevas at 1 for sure. This was a Tommy thrown in with a destuctive hitter and a champ with many defences under his belt and a fine reputation. He showed no fear and bombed him away. Remarkable performance. Watching the Benitez fight, I often got the feeling Wilfred knew he wouldn't beat Hearns while he had a hole in his arse and seemed to 'Tucker' his way to the inevitable points loss around the halfway stage.

I am particularly fond of a challenger ripping the crown from the champ's head, ala Tommy, Hagler, even Duran. It's one of the best sights in boxing. Pity two of the aforementioned were vs Brits, mind.

After a nights sleep on it i think i just might

I think Benitez' trouble was that Hearns was an even better boxer, and if Wilfred pushed the envelope he was going to get knocked cold due to Hearns extreme speed, sharpness, length and power. Contrary to what many know and realise, Benitez had a weak chin. Wilfred was never going to be able to take the shots Leonard did in order to find his opportunities.

I could not agree more. You would no doubt greatly appreciate Super Greg Page's dynamic destruction of title holder Gerrie Coetzee, and in his very own backyard :yikes

They could have counted to 50, for all it mattered :D

It is impressive. But even now watching it one can't help but say "Is that really Greg?" :good

Wow, not a SINGLE person has Marcel Cerdan on Duran's top five best wins?

The Marcel that beat Arguello in his final fight?

    Madness!

    Ernesto Marcel.

Marcel was not quite prime then IMO, although Duran was only 18, it's definitely one of his better wins but I don't think it's top 5.

    Hahahaha.

I've been told you indeed thought it wasn't Greg, couldn't be Greg upon seeing it years after the event, but some wort of freak hybrid between a peak Lennox Lewis and Ali

He doesn't come close to top 5 for me. Marcel was a couple of years off winning any titles and beat a very inexperienced Arguello. You'd have to have both 2 Esteban wins, Palomino, Leonard, Moore, Barkley, Buchanon and possibly even Kobayashi and Hector Thompson above.
