Even if I'm generous I can't favor a single fab four over Roy Jones at 160. 168-above no chance for any of them lasting the distance. 160 Maybe Hagler last the distance on the basis that Jones doesn't engage much. Leonard may be elusive enough to leave the fight standing on his feet but looses a wide decision. Hearns, Duran get stopped.
Whats all this crap about Duran getting stopped No way does Duran get stopped by Jones, It took a Hearns missile to do that & the Duran that gave Mighty Marvin a run for his money would also give Jones plenty to think about.Duran may well be the slower but as we saw against Hagler he's sly & slippery & would def see out the course. I can't see Jones besting a prime Marvin:bart Hagler UD over 12/15 Hearns here may get the KO or KO'd this is a fight fraught with danger for Roy so that could be a S/D. Leonard would'nt fare well against Jones & could well be TKO.
Well Jones would be the biggest puncher Duran ever faced. Hearns is pretty close in the power department to Jones and look what he did to him. I'm not saying he would KO Duran but there is a real chance it could happen.
Jones was prime at 168 & 175. Leonard 147 & 154 Hearns 147 & 154 Hagler 160 Duran 135 & 147 If the fights take place at 160 Jones wins them all. Hearns with his size and power has the best chance next is Leonard. Fallowed by Hagler than Duran.
Well Duran survived Barkleys full-on bombs & thats the same bombs that sorted out Tommy. I just can't see Roy's style overwhelming Duran, That Tommy wipeout had contributing factors in some way being that Duran proberbly came into the ring in his usual "been on the beer night before" condition. I'am using the Duran from the Hagler fight as the yardstick & that Duran still had a resonable turn of foot. Duran would'nt go after Jones so it would be a bit of a countering game, but you'd assume that Roy's workrate would see the night out.
Remember that Jones never really had a chin check until Tarver found it..and none of the fab four would have tagged him?
