I was very happy to see Bivol beat Canelo, but that means nothing against Beterbiev. Schooling an overrated 160 pounder does not carry much weight when considering a fight with Artur. For one, Beterbiev is a much physically stronger man than Canelo. Punches far harder than Canelo. Has much better stamina than Canelo. Is naturally bigger than Canelo. Is more defensively responsible than Canelo.

One man is a smaller guy coming up who really isn't that great. I never rated Canelo and thought Bivol would school him anyways. As would any young and prime fighter who can box with skill. It's just not that impressive to beat a fighter as limited as Canelo if you can truly box. Which Bivol can. He is a talented and well-schooled operator. So I wasn't surprised in the least that he could expose a flawed and overrated fighter in Canelo.

Beterbiev presents an entirely different set of challenges. He is a far tougher assignment. Bivol may yet still win, but he will have to go hell to pull out the win.

Canelo is actually bigger though. He was just always great at cutting weight.

    Bivol schooled Joe Smith.

Gvozdyk is a better boxer than Bivol and Beterbiev eventually wore him down and knocked him out.

I don't fancy Bivol's chances against King Artur. Bivolian slickness not enough to overcome the brute force of Excalibur.

True. I'd favour Beterbiev to stop Bivol right now but punchers have hurt Beterbiev before and I have a feeling Joe Smith Jr may stop Beterbiev or take a lot out of him.

If Beterbiev doesn't beat Joe Smith Jr (no formality) then he can be side stepped. If he beats Smith Jr emphatically I think that will be a big statement.

Gvozdyk is better offensively then Bivol but less defensively responsible.

I got Beterbiev but, Bivol is very economical and hasnt been pushed once.
Gvozdyk hit beterbiev with everything and the kitchen sink and couldnt put a hole through him.

Bivol would be looking to win rounds and conserving energy.

That was a younger and prime Beterbiev who beat Gvozdyk. I do not think that version of Artur still exists. That said, that win is by far the best win on either man's resume. I wonder if Bivol has the mental toughness and pain tolerance to go on that Gvozdyk did not have.

Canelo is still P4P one of the best, I think he just bit off more than he could chew by going up a weight too far.

lol at his idea of going up to cruiser to fight Usyk.

If Beterbiev or Bivol come down to 160-168 I think Canelo would win.

Irrelevant. The fact that Bivol beat Canelo means nothing against Beterbiev.

I'm riding the Beterbiev wave and I'm never going to stop. I'm a personal fan and I believed in him when all these hipster idiots said "hE HaZZ nO SkILLz".

This fight needs to be made now and not when Beterbiev is 40.

I like Dmitry Bivol too. He is a very skilled and badass fighter. This is my most anticipated fight. I do not know who will win. I really want to see this fight. It must happen.

If Fury came down to cruiserweight I'd pic Dorticos to beat him.

Thats not really a relevant argument.

I think to be honest most non Canelo fanboys understand that. Beterbiev although shown some vulnerability is a wrecking machine and there's good reason why Bivol was picked over the 100% KO monster.
I would favor Beterbiev at this point but those odds diminish with time.

Beterbiev will either be too slow to consistently get to Bivol and give too much away early; or he'll be able to and win a close decision. Bivol's style is gonna make him look bad, but Beterbiev has the style advantage.
