That’s a bit hyperbolic lol. Fury would have to lose like 60-100 pounds to get to cruiser. Bivol and Beterbiev would be going down 7 pounds.

Can a 37 year old man come forward non stop for 12 hard rounds? I don't know. A younger Beterbiev was a monster.

By and large I agree, even at his age now I’d still pick Beterbiev to beat both Bivol and Canelo

The Reynoso "Beef and Tea" diet plan certainly helps.

This. Beterbiev is a genetic freak. Skill is only one aspect of the sport. Heart, power and chin also matter.

If Gvozdyk had anymore mental toughness he may have died that night. Did he not end up in hospital with a brain bleed.

The weight difference between Bivol and Clenelo is roughly about the same as it is between Bivol and Beterbiev

    Clen 178-180

    Bivol 183

    And Clenelo is not a 160 pounder. He's a 168 pounder

Bivol weighs a whole weight division less if not more than almost all the LHWs he's fought

    Bivol 181 - Pascal 188

    Bivol 180 - Agnew 186

    Bivol 184 - Chilemba 189

Joe Smith comes in at 190 or close to that

Salamov has got to weigh at least that

Richards must be close to 190 too

It was more to do with him saying 160.

Here we go with the fetishizing Beterbiev's strength again.

    No, he isn't.

But, yes, it's a different and harder fight, which is rather stating the obvious.

Beterbiev is much physically stronger which is a crucial factor in the fight. He also keeps his hands up and his chin tucked. It is very wise to protect your chin from getting punched in professional boxing.

Canelo is defensively much more sophisticated than Beterbiev, has more tricks in that bag. I feel that Beterbiev should beat Bivol (though the latter may catch him at the right time), but it won't be because he's harder to hit than Canelo.

We all know Beterbiev is a very strong 175 lber, man.

It doesn't matter if Canelo is more defensive sophisticated. Beterbiev has a strong guard. Defense can sometimes be made way too complicated. The important thing is to keep your opponent from ramming his fist into your face as hard as possible. So with that said, it is very important to keep your hands up and chin tucked. Canelo never got the memo. Beterbiev did.
