The Brits on this site are quick to point out that America is losing boxing champions faster than Pavlik is losing hair on his head. But what happens if Haye (yes, I know Maccarinelli is Welsh), Woods and Calzaghe all lose- and Duddy, should he face Pavlik this summer? Coming so soon on the heels of Hatton's date with ringpost, will British boxing fans have to reevaluate their place in boxing, and eat a large portion of humble pie?

****off! Yes We had a bad night with hatton but if woods, JC and Haye win that will compensate for the battering hatton took.

Haye is fighting another Brit, so makes no odds.

Duddy would be expected to lose, and we can claim he is Irish anyway.

Calzaghe can't lose and Woods won't.

    Hope that helps.

    If, if and if

None are likely to lose, and Wales is part of Britain

    John Duddy is Irish

Overall, grade A for ****** factor

Nah. Whenever our sporting heros fail, we just shrug our shoulders and claim "Oh well, he did his best" before changing the the tv channel.

    You gotta laugh...

    "Haye might lose...."

Yes, to a fellow brit, you muppet. We're practically guaranteed a loser there, what a disaster for British boxing.....

The Brits have nothing to prove when it comes to boxing. England is where boxing was revived in the 1700's by James Figg, and has flourished since. If not for my British friends boxing would have been a long dead ancient memory.
Even if Woods , Calzaghe, and Haye all lose (highly unlikely), Great Britan still makes the best beer in the world by far, and for that alone , I sing the song of praise. Boxing is important, but beer is vital!
