No official should be treated like that, but I don't really think it would have effected the result. The guy has been there done that a squillion times. As for: "One member of his entourage stood over McConnell and hurled abuse at the judge when he saw he awarded Geale the 10th round, allegedly calling him "racist" :rofl

Officials always cop crap at ringside and don't even try to say that judge changed his mind based on some guys say "what the f..." Lame The point about Barry is fine...we all know that he promotes his boss......get over it. atsch You guys act like the judge listens to Barry as well :-(
Read both of those and digest them...that first one, if true, is a ****ing disgrace. The second, well, we all saw that. Good pick up DJ.
I'm suprised that people are really questioning who should have won. In the end the fight was great but Mundine hit Geale with cleaner shots that landed more often throughout the whole fight and managed to get hit less than his opponent. this talk bout intimidation is not good but there is no doubt the correct decision was made.
oh for **** sake here we go. stop reading the daily telegraph. its pure **** and may as well have glossy pages. and as for Barry Michael well what do you expect. Bob sheridan does it and he's the ****ing colonel. just watch it without sound. i wanted to write to the telegraph and say that anyone who knew anything about boxing would KNOW what the commentary would be like and only an idiot would listen to it for a whole fight and then complain about it.
The Melbourne Herald Sun also ran with this one: http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,25552576-11088,00.html Comments: Call me old fashion, but surely we can implement a scoring system that remains nobody else's business but the officials until the conclusion of the bout! What bloody business is it of the public or fighter's hangers on to know the scores round by round!
Anybody have the punch stats for the fight....it would be great to know the amount, landed and power from each guy?
If anyone gets me a tape I'm happy to do it. I have some great software that will timeline each shot thrown. With the number of punches thrown though it could take a while :good Ray
thank god the mundine circus is going overseas. lets see how their standover tactics and media and judge bullying go down with the yanks....:yep he'll probably only fight over there once...and get flogged. lets hope its by pavlik....:yep .
