And can you just imagine if Cuba totally frees itself? Think about this, 95% of Cuba's fighters are still trapped inside Communist Cuba. The Cubans in the pros only make up about 5% of the total Cuban boxing population and we are still causing a major impact in the pros with fighters like Gamboa, Rigondeaux, Lara and others to come soon. ;)

    Blessings to you ... :good

Yeah, I heard that statement too. Arum said that the Cubans are way ahead of any amateurs in the World in terms of skills, technique and school. I keep saying this, even though a lot of other Latin Countries like Mexico and PR have produced great fighters the Cubans are special. Cuban Champs were special back in the days before Castro and once Communism falls in Cuba the World will once again see the immense talent in the Island.

May God Bless Cuba, Mexico, PR, USA and every other Country on the face of the Earth ! :good

    Still whining?

He didnt. He didnt train for that fight because he thought Molina was a bum. His trainer was helping rigondeaux, who had a more important fight in europe, so Lara did only 2 weeks of conditionning training with some random trainer thinking it was enough. Why do I know and you don't? Some of us know Lara and his family well and we're frequently updated on his activities by his close entourage. And FYI, after that day, his wife and him couldn't sleep for a few days. They desperately wanted a rematch with Molina to get the record straight. Unfortunately it won't happen because Lara's manager is also Molina's manager and he wants to cash Molina as much as he can before he looses again. Lara's wife did actually freak out, she said they would never do that again (take a fight without proper training) and put his career on jeopardy.

I wasnt comparing Cuba to the US i was comparing them to other latin countries but since you brought it up. Yes the US has the biggest prison system in the world with 1 in every 100 adults being incarcerated and having a quarter of the world prison population.

no excuses neither for molina or lara...they are pros.Must train properly, keep weight in check, follow instructions and take fights seriously...it was on national TV,its not like if they were fighting in a little town in chiapas.I believe Molina knew it was his chance to shine back coming from some bad decisions against him.And he was ready giving Lara all he could handle.I would love to see a rematch.
