The farcical 'myth' that Lewis would have KO'd Vitali

to compare this fight to a recent bout in which the tide was turning then a cut ended it: how do you feel about the bad chad vs. pascal fight. Personally I thought chad was gaining momentum and was about to ktfo pascal, however after rewatching I can consider the other side of the coin also.....any thoughts?

The reason I believe Lewis would have stopped him was because mentally Vitali with the cuts was getting exhausted. The gap was closing and Lewis was landing harder and cleaner. Thats why his face opened up so much in the 6th.
Lewis put him in a fight that Vitali wasnt really comfortable fighting at close range and he could no longer keep Lewis off him with any of his shots. I dont think it would have gone the distance and once a fighter has an opponent in the position Lewis had Vitali it almost rejuvinates you physically and mentally. Lewis would have stopped him in my opinion, the momentum was completely shifting to Lewis.

 

Exactly. Vitali was going down. He was getting hit with too many big shots and he would of been stopped.

 

Vitali would have lost his eye if the fight went another 2 rounds.

 

Klitschko looked as though he`d been run over by a truck. Another couple of rounds and the ref would have been arrested for manslaughter for allowing Lewis to kill Klitschko!!
