Chambers has lost twice already and was badly Ko'd.

Brock had to retire due to a damaged eye.

Arreola is the lone USA top ten rated man in position for another title shot. Tonight he faces a Adamek. Is he looses, it might be the lowest professional point USA heavyweight boxing in my lifetime.

Who else is there in position now, or on the way up? Arreola is the only USA heavy in position to get a title shot in the next two years. It could be longer than that.

The sport needs a USA heavy in contention, otherwise HBO, and ESPN will lose interest.

If Arreola wins this he basically guaranteed himself another title shot pretty much within 12 months from today.

I really don't need this guy representing me or my country. I don't care if he wins or loses. I'd rather have someone with less talent and more dedication to the sport speak for us globally.

There will be many heavyweights in USA after that fat MOFO retires. He is just one more

I'm almost positive that Chambers is still a top ten fighter. Also, he's still young. I wouldn't count him out just because he lost to the best heavyweight in the division. :D

Right before the advent of Tyson was pretty bad too. A few guys you forgot: Tony Thompson (who is a good fighter) and Ray Austin who might somehow get another title shot.

Not a chance. Too dangerous. I like Haye, but his road to the belt was carefully planned. They made sure he fought guys that were old, couldn't punch and still had decent reputations.

Arreola only meets one of those criteria.

THompson is probably the 2nd best american heavy after Arreola. I think the bad knockout might affect Chambers.

    It does not.

Aside from Eddie Chambers and perhaps Tony Thompson, the heavyweight scene is looking bleak in the US, including Arreola who is not a professional by any stretch of the imagination. Arreola is a tear it up fighter, he loves to show guts and blood on the night of the fight, but there's not much of that in training.

Arreola will never be defined, but at least make 230ish.
Hope Adamek knocks him spark out.

That's undeniable. With HBO backing him, there's no way he doesn't get another shot. Here's my prediction: Vitali retires after another fight, two at the most and Arreola fights either Solis or Povetkin (assuming he doesn't have the nerve to fight Wlad, which is a pretty safe assumption) for the vacant title.
