This is the fight that will dictate their HW marketing strategy. If Arreola losses, HBO will be jumping his ship and putting in all efforts behind Adamek-Haye fight. If Arreola can't do it, HBO would like nothing more than for one of these two guys to dethrone the K-bros or at least cash in on the hype that would build up to the fight. For a variety of reasons, HBO hates the K-bros.

My bud, Jack Reiss, will be reffing the Arreola fight. Hope my attention won't be distracted from the principles.

I've seen him before but don't remember his style....which is probably a good thing. If he's one of the over protective types ask him to be a little more laissez faire this time. Both these boys can crack, but they both have good chins and deserve the benefit of doubt.

Obviously I'm not. I'm in Vegas. There is NO ONE in the sport books interested. There is no write up in the papers. There is no advertisement of the fight. Wake up. The division has been dead for a long time. Talk to professional athletes and they laugh at the bums fighting in the division. FACT. I played at USC. Guys were laughing at the heavyweights since Lewis' retirement. Athletes can recognize mediocrity when they see it - even if you apparently cannot.

what top 10 guy did thompson beat? please enlighten me.

so austin got his first title shot based on a fight he didnt even win? thats impressive. Austin at 6 foot 6 245 pounds gets a little credit, but how much for beating golota in 1 round, who was shot, 41 years old and hadnt won a signifigant fight in YEARS. while ademek made a jump to heavyweight division, outweighed by 30 pound...thats more impressive from that standpoint. austin has beaten no one to deserves shot...hes a joke as well as the WBC for putting him in one...

Arreola is no more American than Maskaev is. They both moved to the US..........Regardless of if he moved to the US, Arreola is Mexican, born and raised.

To hear them keep calling this Mexican fighter the only hope the US has left is aggrevating........

For instance, if Dimitreko were to move to the US, would he then be called an American heavyweight hope?

I hope so, too... my expectations are pretty low on who the 2nd most interesting guy in the ring will be.

It looks like he's charging his lazer.

    Agreed.
